On the occasion of the 81st anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 – September 2, 2026), as well as the 64th anniversary of Uncle Ho’s visit to the Hung Temple (August 19, 1962 – August 19, 2026), on August 19, the Hung Temple Historical Relic Area organized an incense-offering ceremony at Gieng Temple and offered flowers in memory of President Ho Chi Minh at the relief sculpture titled “Uncle Ho talking to officers and soldiers of the Vanguard Army Corps.”

Attending the incense-offering ceremony was Comrade Phung Thi Kim Nga — Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Committee (PPC); alongside leadership representatives from the Party Committee of the PPC, several provincial departments, sectors, units, enterprises, and local authorities across the province.
During his lifetime, President Ho Chi Minh visited the Hung Temple twice to offer incense and pay homage to the Ancestors: first in 1954 before returning to take over the capital city of Hanoi, and second in 1962 on the occasion of commemorating the successful August Revolution.

64 years ago, on August 19, 1962, during a visit to the Party Committee and people of Phu Tho Province, President Ho Chi Minh ascended to the Hung Temple to offer incense and pay tribute to the Ancestors at Thuong Temple. He advised local cadres, leaders, and people of Phu Tho to pay special attention to protecting and planting more flowers and trees, so that the Hung Temple would become increasingly solemn and beautiful, transforming into a historical park for future generations to visit.
Carrying out Uncle Ho’s teachings, over the past 60-plus years, the Party Committee, government, and people of Phu Tho Province have consistently focused on planting, caring for, protecting, and developing forest resources. At the Hung Temple Historical Relic Area, over 105.2 hectares of forest have been additionally planted with indigenous trees, fruit trees, and shade trees, contributing to creating a diverse and rich ecosystem for the Hung Temple National Forest.
Alongside forestation, the Relic Area has planted more than 12 hectares of trees across grounds, flower gardens, and landscaped beds, contributing to building an increasingly green, clean, and beautiful landscape; while enhancing the solemnity of the Special National Relic Area — the nation’s sacred ancestral place of worship.

Delegates participate in planting commemorative trees within the grounds of the Hung Temple Historical Relic Area.
In a solemn atmosphere, delegates respectfully offered incense to express gratitude to the Hung Kings and ancestors who built the nation; remembering and demonstrating profound gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh. Delegates also presented a floral basket bearing the inscription “Eternally memorize and follow Uncle Ho’s teachings” in front of the relief sculpture titled “Uncle Ho talking to officers and soldiers of the Vanguard Army Corps.”
On this occasion, the Hung Temple Historical Relic Area launched the tree planting and care program titled “Green Hung Temple - Following Uncle Ho’s Teachings” and organized a display introducing “Green Products of Hung Temple Following Uncle Ho’s Teachings.”
