Opening of Tam Dao Summer Tourism and Tourism - Culinary Exhibition

On the evening of May 23, at the Tam Dao National Tourism Area, the Tam Dao Commune People’s Committee, in collaboration with the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, organized the Opening Ceremony of Tam Dao Summer Tourism and Tourism - Culinary Exhibition. Concurrently, they launched a tourism stimulus campaign themed “Tam Dao - The Rendezvous in the Clouds” for the year 2026. The event welcomed the attendance of Mr. Nguyen Khac Hieu—Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee—alongside leaders from various departments, sectors, and branches.

Tam Dao Tourism Area is widely dubbed the "Da Lat of the North." The destination owns three majestic mountains—Thach Ban, Thien Thi, and Phu Nghia—alongside the diverse ecosystem of the Tam Dao National Park, featuring a rich flora system that serves as a habitat for thousands of rare and precious fauna and flora species.

These outstanding advantages in natural conditions, combined with its close proximity to Hanoi Capital, have forged a unique magnetism for the Tam Dao Tourism Area. Notably, the resort area is deeply honored to be voted the World’s Leading Town Destination by the prestigious World Travel Awards (WTA) for four consecutive years. On average, it successfully attracts between 300,000 and over 500,000 tourist arrivals annually.

Addressing the ceremony, Vice Chairman Nguyen Khac Hieu emphasized that within its development master plan, Phu Tho Province identifies constructing Tam Dao into a high-quality center for resort, eco-, cultural, and experiential tourism in the region, following a green, clean, beautiful, and sustainable direction.

Organizing the opening of Tam Dao summer tourism, the tourism-culinary exhibition, and launching the 2026 tourism stimulus program is not merely a conventional promotional campaign. It serves as a powerful message demonstrating the iron determination to innovate mindsets, upgrade product standards, build a robust brand identity, and assert the standing of Tam Dao tourism in a new development cycle.

Through these efforts, the event contributes to positioning Phu Tho as a national hub for cultural and festival tourism, and a premier host destination for large-scale cultural and tourism events in the Northern Midland and Mountainous region, generating a strong domestic spillover effect and expanding its international reach.

Vice Chairman Nguyen Khac Hieu requested the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism to coordinate closely with central and local press and media agencies to accelerate marketing and promotions, building an image of Tam Dao tourism that is genuinely professional, attractive, and identity-rich. He urged provincial departments, sectors, and the Phu Tho Tourism Association to continuously accompany and empower tourism enterprises to upgrade service quality, develop premium products, and guarantee a civilized, safe, friendly, and hospitable tourism environment.

The Tam Dao Commune Party Committee and People’s Committee must innovate management work and expand spaces for organizing entertainment activities and tourism events to satisfy visitors' demands, such as: Street Food Festivals, Street Art Performance Festivals, and Fireworks Festivals.

Mr. Nguyen Khac Hieu also requested every resident of Tam Dao to uphold their sense of responsibility and hometown pride, truly transforming themselves into “tourism ambassadors” to contribute to building a friendly, civilized, deeply sentimental, and identity-rich image of Tam Dao in the hearts of travelers.

At the ceremony, Tam Dao Commune officially announced the 2026 Tam Dao Tourism Stimulus Program with active participation from numerous units. A wide variety of promotional packages have been tailored, focusing on core service blocks such as: accommodation, culinary/dining, sightseeing, experiential activities, entertainment, transportation, and dedicated tours or travel routes.

The series of events takes place from May 22 to 25, 2026, attracting over 50 units and enterprises from various provinces and within Tam Dao Commune to showcase and introduce tourism services, OCOP products, and signature local specialties, drawing a massive audience of tourists to visit and enjoy.
