Phu Tho students brought home a total of six medals: one gold, one silver, and four bronze. These achievements were earned across multiple events, including the 800-meter run, 1,500-meter run for boys (senior high school division), long jump for boys (senior high school), 400-meter run for girls (middle and high school), and the 1,500-meter run for high school boys.
This year’s National High School Sports Competition was held in Hue City and attracted nearly 2,300 student-athletes from 53 provinces and cities nationwide. The tournament, taking place from June 10 to 16, 2025, features 186 medal sets across five sports: football, basketball, swimming, athletics, and Vovinam. The athletics events were held from June 10 to 12.

The National High School Sports Competition is organized annually by the Ministry of Education and Training. It aims to promote physical activity, regular sports practice, and competition within schools—ultimately improving students’ health and enhancing the overall quality of education. The tournament also serves as a platform for identifying outstanding student-athletes to represent Vietnam at the 2025 Southeast Asian School Sports Festival, which is scheduled to take place later this year in Brunei.
