On March 13-14 (corresponding to the 14th and 15th days of the second lunar month in the Year of the Snake), the People’s Committee of Bach Hac Ward, Viet Tri City, organized the Quach A Nuong Temple Traditional Festival.
Quach A Nuong Temple, also known as Tam Giang Thuong Temple, is dedicated to the heroic female general Quach A Nuong Khau Ni, who contributed to assisting the Trung Sisters (Hai Ba Trung) in defeating invaders, saving the people, and protecting the nation.
Every year, on the 15th day of the second lunar month, the villagers hold the festival, which includes ceremonial rituals at the temple and a water procession from the river confluence to the temple for worship. Currently, the temple is open daily for the public to visit and offer incense in remembrance. In 2009, the Quach A Nuong Temple historical site was recognized as a provincial-level cultural and historical relic.
