Nearly five years ago, the Chi Ne Plantation Trading Cooperative introduced mulberry cultivation, silkworm rearing, silk reeling, and weaving to An Nghia Commune. This traditional craft has been maintained and developed into a specialized production zone, gradually building a premium brand for natural silk and becoming an attractive destination for experiential tourism.

Vast green mulberry fields stretching along the banks of the Boi River create a poetic rural landscape.

The mulberry-silkworm value chain has significantly improved the income of residents in An Nghia Commune.

Fresh green mulberry leaves are harvested to feed the silkworms.

The Chi Ne Plantation Trading Cooperative rears silkworms in climate-controlled rooms, doubling or tripling cocoon yields compared to traditional methods.

Workers meticulously care for the silkworms at every stage to ensure the highest quality.

After spinning golden cocoons on the trusses, they are harvested to prepare for the reeling process.

The entire harvest of cocoons is preserved in cold storage.

Cocoons are boiled in hot water to separate the raw silk fibers.

Skilled hands extract and combine the silk filaments into threads before winding them onto specialized reels.

Workers diligently find each silk end to prevent the reels from tangling.

Currently, the silk reeling and weaving workshop of the Chi Ne Plantation Trading Cooperative is a popular site for many visiting delegations.

Glossy, soft silk threads are heat-dried before being hung in shaded, airy areas.

High-end silk garments at the cooperative’s showroom are highly favored by tourists.
