Tho Khoi Communal House Festival
The 2024 Tho Khoi communal house festival was organized by the People’s Committee of Minh Tan commune in Cam Khe district on February 24 (ie lunar January 15).

Tho Khoi communal house honors three village tutelary gods. In 1853, during King Tu Duc’s reign, there were more two new gods, the mountain god and the water god... In 1999, the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism designated the communal house as a national cultural relic, becoming one of five national historical and cultural treasures in Cam Khe district. Feudal dynasties granted Tho Khoi communal house ten awards, the oldest of which was awarded in the fourth year of Chinh Hoa (1683).

Every year, on the 15th and 16th days of the first lunar month, the residents of Minh Tan commune celebrate and honor the village’s tutelary gods. The festival is divided into two parts: the rituals including incense offering rituals, palanquin processions, and god sacrifices; and the festival part, which includes sports exchange activities and folk games such as cockfighting, tug of war... which attract a large number of villagers and tourists.
