Vice Chairwoman Phung Thi Kim Nga delivering her concluding remarks at the conference.
According to the established plan, this provincial-scale event will take place from April 17 to April 26, 2026 (the 1st to the 10th day of the third lunar month) at the Hung Kings Temple Historical Relic Area and various localities across the province. The grand opening ceremony is scheduled for 8:00 PM on April 17 at Hung Vuong Square, Viet Tri City. Under the theme “Sacred Origins - Hung Kings' Ancestral Land,” the ceremony will feature a sophisticated art performance in three chapters: “Sacred Origins,” “Return to the Heritage Region,” and “Phu Tho Rising with the Nation,” with the participation of over 700 performers.
A major highlight of the festival will be the Street Folk Culture Festival, themed "Echoes of the Origins." This 120-minute event will showcase a vibrant parade featuring 18 art troupes with nearly 2,000 performers throughout the central streets of Viet Tri. Meticulous reenactments of traditional rituals, such as the “Hung King Teaching People to Plant Rice” festival, Xoan singing, and the Tay Thien and Khai Ha festivals, will further honor the cultural identity of Phu Tho’s diverse ethnic groups.

An overview of the conference.
Concluding the conference, Vice Chairwoman Phung Thi Kim Nga highly commended the proactive efforts of the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism and coordinating agencies. She emphasized that all units must conduct thorough reviews to ensure the festival’s scale is worthy of the newly restructured Phu Tho Province. The event serves not only to honor national history and inspire ancestral pride but also to promote the image of the Ancestral Land, showcase local strengths, and stimulate tourism demand. The Vice Chairwoman directed the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism to finalize the detailed program for the Organizing Committee’s approval to ensure all activities remain on schedule.
