According to the established plan, this year’s festival will be organized at the provincial level from April 17 to 26 (the 1st to 10th day of the third lunar month). The event will be divided into two main components: The Ceremonies and The Festivities, taking place at the Relic Site and various communes and wards across the province.
The ceremonial highlights at the Hung Kings“Temple will include incense offerings by local communes (April 7–21), the commemorations of Father Lac Long Quan and Mother Au Co (April 22), palanquin processions (April 23), and the main Hung Kings” Death Anniversary Ceremony on April 26, which includes a flower offering at the relief "Uncle Ho talking to the Pioneer Division."
The festive portion promises a vibrant atmosphere with activities such as Cultural Camps, Banh Chung and Banh Giay making contests, mass art performances, lion and dragon dances, and traditional Muong cultural showcases including bronze drum performances and dam duong.
During the conference, delegates expressed high consensus regarding the festival’s scale and objectives. However, they also discussed practical challenges such as human resource allocation, geographical distances, and logistics for participating delegations. Delegates emphasized the need for continued support from provincial authorities and shared experiences from localities previously within the Phu Tho region to ensure a solemn, safe, and culturally rich event.

In her concluding remarks, Vice Chairwoman Phung Thi Kim Nga praised the proactive preparations of the Hung Kings' Temple Historical Relic Site. She noted that the 2026 Festival is particularly significant as it follows the province’s administrative restructuring into a two-level local government model, requiring heightened initiative from all sectors.
To ensure the festival’s success, the Vice Chairwoman directed the Relic Site to finalize ceremonial scripts for provincial approval and establish detailed protocols for seating and offerings. She also emphasized the importance of ensuring security and order, improving environmental aesthetics, and promoting the unique cultural identities of the three historical regions: Phu Tho, Vinh Phuc, and Hoa Binh. Relevant departments were tasked with coordinating closely with the Relic Site to resolve any emerging obstacles.
Immediately following the conference, Vice Chairwoman Phung Thi Kim Nga and the delegation conducted a field survey at Phu Bung Hill to inspect the sites for the Cultural Camps and traditional contests.
