Viet Tri hosts the Phu Dong Sports Festival in 2023
The Phu Dong Sports Festival in 2023 was inaugurated on November 15 in Viet Tri City. Mr. Nguyen Manh Son - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the People’s Council of Viet Tri City; leaders of various departments, divisions, and branches; Viet Tri city leaders; and numerous teachers and students from the city’s schools were in attendance.
Secretary Nguyen Manh Son kindled the Phu Dong Sports Festival’s customary flame.
In 2023, the Phu Dong Sports Festival in Viet Tri city drawed 1,132 athletes from 49 different elementary and secondary schools in the area. Men’s soccer, athletics, aerobics, badminton, and table tennis are the five sports in which athletes participate.
The Phu Dong Sports Festival began with words from Viet Tri city leaders.

The Phu Dong Sports Festival is a large celebration for the city’s schoolchildren. This is a chance to assess physical education and sports training activities in schools, so contributing to the whole development of students' moral, intellectual, physical, and artistic characteristics and talents. At the same time, find, select, and train exceptional city athletes to attend the Phu Dong Sports Festival of Phu Tho province and the regional Phu Dong Sports Festival, so generating a source of high-performance sports in Phu Tho province.
