The 30th conference took place amid nationwide efforts to implement the goals set forth in the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and to promote national digital transformation across all sectors. The press — and Party-affiliated newspapers in particular — are now facing unprecedented opportunities and challenges due to the explosion of information technology, the rapid rise of social media, and shifting public media consumption behaviors.

He also gave a deep analysis of the current landscape and core challenges facing party-affiliated journalism. Representatives of party newspapers and invited guests shared practical experiences, innovative methods, and challenges faced during operations. Their presentations fostered an open, constructive atmosphere. Many effective models and approaches were showcased, while common problems were openly dissected and analyzed. Practical solutions were proposed — tailored to the unique contexts of each locality and aligned with the broader development trends of modern journalism.

In his speech, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper and Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association Le Quoc Minh noted that, with the rapid advancement of science and technology, artificial intelligence (AI) is playing a pivotal role in the digital transformation of journalism. He emphasized that adopting AI is an inevitable step for press agencies seeking innovation and sustainable development.

However, he stressed that successful digital transformation — especially leveraging AI — requires constant innovation to meet evolving audience demands. This includes fresh thinking, creativity, and the continuous development of new and engaging journalistic products, especially in an era dominated by social media.

Praising the efforts made by press agencies and the Party newspaper system in embracing digital transformation, Le Quoc Minh expressed his belief that the press will make significant strides to meet the growing expectations of modern readers.

He also noted that Vietnam’s press system is undergoing a phase of organizational restructuring, innovation, and streamlining in accordance with the policies of the Politburo and the Secretariat. While this process presents many challenges and uncertainties for internal operations, it also opens up important opportunities for future development.

Despite the significant changes expected post-restructuring, Le Quoc Minh affirmed that Party newspapers will continue to play a central role in Vietnam’s revolutionary journalism, maintaining their mission of public guidance and evolving strongly in the new era.
