In the context of increasingly deep international economic integration, Phu Tho is emerging as an export bright spot in the Northern Midlands and Mountainous region. Thanks to effective investment attraction policies and increasingly comprehensive industrial infrastructure, goods “Made in Phu Tho” have reached many large markets around the world, affirming the position of a dynamic locality in the era of integration.
Currently, the whole province has over 1,000 enterprises engaging in import-export activities. In the first 10 months of 2025, the province’s export turnover reached 29.68 billion USD, ranking 4th nationwide. Key export groups include: Machinery, equipment, and electronic components; footwear and leather products; wood and wood products... with the main consumption markets such as Korea, Japan, Singapore, France, Germany, Italy, Russia, the UK, and the United States...

ASSA ABLOY Vietnam Smart Technology Co., Ltd. (Ba Thien Industrial Park) is a member of the ASSA ABLOY Group (Sweden) - a world leader in the production of smart door locks and high-end security equipment. In the 10 months of 2025, the company produced and exported nearly 600 thousand smart lock products, an increase of 3% compared to the same period last year. Currently, ASSA ABLOY Vietnam’s products are present in many large global markets such as the US, UK, France, Colombia, Russia, Czech Republic, and Mexico... The enterprise currently provides stable jobs for 240 workers with an average income of more than 8 million VND/person/month.
Along with ASSA ABLOY, many large enterprises in the electronic components sector, such as BHFlex Vina, Power Logics Vina, Heasung Vina, Pratron Vina, Jawa Vina, Optrontec Vina... are also continuously expanding their scale and boosting exports. High-tech products currently account for about 50% of the total industrial production value of the province, becoming an important driving force for economic growth. Phu Tho’s goods are present in large markets such as the US, Japan, South Korea, ASEAN, and many EU countries (Netherlands, Germany, Czech Republic...).
To create favorable conditions for enterprise development, the province has issued many preferential policies on exports and investment attraction; strongly promoting administrative reform, reducing the time required to process procedures by at least 30%, compliance costs by 30%, and business conditions by 30%. Land use planning and plans are publicly and transparently disclosed, supporting enterprises with timely site clearance. Simultaneously, the two-tier online public service system (provincial - commune) is implemented synchronously with over 2,200 administrative procedures fully performed in the electronic environment, helping enterprises access services quickly and transparently. Community digital technology groups are also established to help enterprises effectively use online public services.
The province has strengthened trade promotion, provided market information, trained human resources, and applied technology in production and logistics. Digital transformation, green transition, and green credit programs are being promoted, aiming for a clean, sustainable production model compliant with international standards. The Steering Committee for Investment Promotion and Enterprise Development operates effectively; communication and promotion of the investment environment are strongly implemented across media channels, helping to enhance the image of Phu Tho as an attractive destination for domestic and foreign investors.
Credit policies to support enterprises are implemented synchronously. Credit institutions have restructured debt repayment periods, maintaining the debt group classification for enterprises affected by natural disasters, while also organizing bank-enterprise connection programs. As of October 31, 2025, the total outstanding loan balance in the entire province reached nearly 348 trillion VND, an increase of 15% compared to the end of 2024; including over 50 trillion VND for small and medium-sized enterprises, over 17 trillion VND for supporting industries, and nearly 50 billion VND for high-tech application enterprises.

Solum Vina Co., Ltd. in Ba Thien II Industrial Park specializes in manufacturing and supplying electronic components to electronic corporations from countries such as South Korea, Japan, China, and Norway.
According to the VIII State Treasury Area, as of October 20, 2025, total State budget revenue in the area reached over 47 trillion VND, an increase of 34.8% compared to the same period last year, of which domestic revenue reached over 41 trillion VND (up 40%), and revenue from import-export activities reached over 5.3 trillion VND (up 4.8%).
Leveraging the growth momentum, Phu Tho aims for a total export turnover of over 36.8 billion USD in 2025, 2.2 times that of 2020 and accounting for 8.5% of the country’s total export turnover. In the coming time, the province will continue to innovate investment promotion activities, improve the business environment, proactively connect with strategic corporations and investors from South Korea, Japan, Singapore, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Russia, the UK, and the US; while also promoting e-commerce, digital transformation, and domestic supply-demand connection.
Furthermore, the province focuses on effectively exploiting the Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) signed by Vietnam, diversifying export markets to avoid reliance on a single region, and supporting enterprises to meet the technical standards, rules of origin, and environmental requirements of major markets.
With the determination to accompany enterprises, continuously improve the investment environment, and accelerate international integration, Phu Tho is gradually affirming its position as a dynamic and modern export center of the Northern Midlands and Mountainous region, contributing to extending the brand reach of Vietnamese goods in the global market.
