Cheo art in Phu Tho is on the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List.
Recently, the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism made decisions to add the heritage on the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List.
Accordingly, the folk performing arts of Cheo in Phu Tho, Phu Tho province, is one of 26 heritage sites in provinces and cities recognized on the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List (according to Decision No. 394/QD - BVHTTDL of February 21, 2024). According to the Decision, Chairmen of People’s Committees at all levels where intangible cultural heritage is included in the list must carry out State management in accordance with the terms of the cultural heritage law.
