Commemoration ceremony for National Ancestor Lac Long Quan

On the morning of April 3 (the 6th day of the third lunar month), at the Temple of National Ancestor Lac Long Quan - part of the Hung Kings Temple Historical Relic Site - the Party Committee, Government, and People of Phu Tho Province, on behalf of the entire nation, both at home and abroad, solemnly held the Commemoration Ceremony for National Ancestor Lac Long Quan.

The ceremony was attended by Bui Minh Chau, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council, and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Bui Van Quang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; Phung Khanh Tai, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; and Nguyen Huy Ngoc, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, and Head of the Organizing Committee for the Hung Kings Commemoration and the Cultural-Tourism Week of the Ancestral Land 2025. Also in attendance were members of the Provincial Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the People’s Council, the People’s Committee, and the Fatherland Front Committee; leaders of departments, agencies, units, unions, districts, towns, and cities; representatives from localities surrounding the Hung Kings Temple Historical Relic Site; as well as a large number of people and visitors from across the country.

At the National Ancestor Lac Long Quan Temple on Sim Mountain, the leaders of Phu Tho Province, on behalf of the entire nation, solemnly offered incense, flowers, and ceremonial tributes in honor of Lac Long Quan, the legendary forefather of the Vietnamese people.

The ceremony paid tribute to Lac Long Quan’s heroic legacy in expanding the nation’s territory, laying the foundations of Vietnamese civilization, and fostering national unity. The participants prayed for his blessings, wishing for favorable weather, abundant harvests, national peace and prosperity, the well-being and happiness of all people, and a continuously thriving and developed Vietnam.

In front of the revered spirit of the National Ancestor, the descendants of Lac Hong pledged to uphold the tradition of the Dragon and Fairy lineage, foster unity, overcome challenges, and dedicate themselves to building a strong, prosperous, and developed Vietnam.

In front of the ancestral altar, the Party Committee, government, and people of Phu Tho vowed to leverage the province’s heroic traditions to drive socio-economic progress, successfully implement the goals outlined in the 19th Provincial Party Congress Resolution, fulfill key political and developmental objectives for 2025, and establish Phu Tho as a leading province in the Northern Midlands and Mountainous Region.

Earlier, Chu Hoa Commune, Viet Tri City, conducted a traditional worship ritual in honor of National Ancestor Lac Long Quan, expressing the deep reverence and gratitude of the Lac Hong descendants for their ancestral legacy.
