Local governments have adopted several strategies to build safe and sustainable tea regions, combining producing areas with consuming areas in order to steadily increase tea product output, value, and efficiency.

Aside from raw material sites for black tea processing, raw material fields for green tea processing have already been established and planted with LDP1, Kim Tuyen, and Phuc Van Tien kinds. Creating standard raw material regions lays the groundwork for the long-term growth of artisan communities, cooperatives, and tea production and processing firms.

Tea is the principal crop of Yen Ky commune in Ha Hoa district, covering around 900 hectares. Yen Ky Green Tea products from Yen Ky Tea Production and Processing Cooperative are recognized as a collective brand and satisfy 3-star OCOP requirements. Currently, the cooperative is working on creating and expanding standard raw material regions in order to improve OCOP goods from three to four stars.

Many firms have rigid production procedures that begin with caring, harvesting, processing, and end with product consumption. Some firms have invested in contemporary processing equipment and production lines in order to diversify their product offerings.

In 2020, the certification brand “Phu Tho Tea” received a protection certificate, which helped to improve the province’s tea products' reputation, economic worth, and competitiveness. Furthermore, expanding tea through the OCOP One Commune One Product Program opens up numerous new avenues for the locals' important and powerful items. To date, the province has one tea product with OCOP 5 stars at the national level and around 20 tea products with OCOP 4 stars at the provincial level.
