After the administrative merger, Phu Tho Province has clear advantages in terms of population scale and labor market size, creating a solid foundation to attract investment and form industrial clusters. Business activities have shown strong progress, with the number of newly registered enterprises increasing sharply in recent quarters, generating a great demand for skilled and highly specialized workers in the processing industry, precision engineering, information technology, and logistics.
Reports show that in the first ten months of 2025, the province recorded a significant increase in the number of newly established enterprises, making an important contribution to job creation and strengthening local growth momentum.

Vocational training is a particularly important stage, providing high-quality human resources to meet sustainable development needs.
For a province with many potentials and advantages like Phu Tho, one of the province’s key tasks is to supply a workforce with in-depth skills for the processing and technology industries; managerial personnel for medium and large enterprises; information technology engineers for digital transformation; and a contingent of administrators capable of implementing policies within the new administrative framework. To achieve that goal, a series of synchronous solutions must be carried out.
First, it is necessary to strengthen the linkage chain between education and enterprises. The provincial government needs to promote the formation of order-based training programs, encouraging enterprises to participate in program design, provide practical work opportunities, and recruit immediately after training. This requires preferential mechanisms for enterprises participating in training, and support mechanisms for educational institutions to adjust training content in accordance with market demand and international occupational skill standards.
Next is the development of a localized technical and vocational training system, combining distance learning and practice simulation to shorten the skill transition period. It is necessary to invest in practical training equipment for vocational institutions, while implementing international-standard instructor training programs to improve teaching capacity. Attention should be given to industries with local advantages such as mechanical engineering, electronics, information technology, logistics, and agricultural processing.
In addition, the province needs to focus on building policies to attract and retain talent. Phu Tho can compete through preferential policy packages on housing, startup support, tax incentives for high-tech enterprises, and programs to recommend and nurture young managers for state-owned and large-scale enterprises. At the same time, it is important to create an attractive working environment with clear promotion opportunities and continuous training policies.
In reality, just four months after the administrative merger, many results show that the new Phu Tho possesses both the potential and motivation for a breakthrough. However, the advantage of scale will only become true strength when high-quality human resources are systematically prepared and linked to the requirements of the new economy.
The State, local authorities, educational institutions, and enterprises must join hands to implement structural solutions with a spirit of decisive action. The goal is not only to create jobs but also to build a workforce capable of mastering technology, leading innovation, and turning Phu Tho into a dynamic development region of the country.
