On the evening of April 23, Mr. Nguyen Huy Ngoc — Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, and Head of the Organizing Committee for the 2026 Hung Kings' Festival — attended and directed the dress rehearsal for the 2026 Street Folk Culture Festival. Joining him was Ms. Duong Hoang Huong — Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Director of the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism — along with leaders from relevant departments.
Vice Chairman Nguyen Huy Ngoc directs several aspects during the dress rehearsal.
Under the theme “Echoes of the Roots,” the 2026 Street Folk Culture Festival is organized at the provincial level, featuring over 1,500 artisans and amateur performers from 18 cultural clusters representing various regions across the province.
The program consists of two parts: the Opening Ceremony and the Festival Entry. It aims to honor and vividly recreate unique tangible and intangible cultural heritages, as well as distinctive folk arts, games, and performances exclusive to the Ancestral Land.

The Visual Director provides feedback to ensure high-quality sound and lighting for the broadcast.
During the rehearsal, troupes reenacted excerpts of typical local festivals and performed traditional art forms along the route of Nguyen Tat Thanh - Tran Phu - Van Lang Park (Viet Tri Ward). The rehearsal ensured a seamless script with artistic highlights. The sound, lighting, stage, and projection systems were operated synchronously to enhance the overall quality of the production.
After observing the entire program, Vice Chairman Nguyen Huy Ngoc and agency leaders provided feedback for further refinement. The Vice Chairman highly commended the sense of responsibility shown by all participating forces. He requested that units continue to review and perfect every detail, especially regarding technical execution, timing, and the transitions between acts, ensuring the official event is solemn, safe, and impressive. Special attention must also be paid to organization, reception, weather contingency plans, and public security in the event area.

The program features over 1,500 artisans and amateur performers.
The dress rehearsal is a vital preparatory step for the success of the festival, which serves to converge and introduce representative traditional festivals, showcase unique folk customs, and highlight the diverse spiritual life of the inhabitants of the nation’s source.
The 2026 Street Folk Culture Festival is scheduled to officially open at 7:00 PM on April 24, 2026 (the 8th day of the 3rd lunar month). The program will be livestreamed on the digital platforms of Phu Tho News and Radio & Television, and broadcast live on channels VTV8 and PTV, with relays from various news and broadcasting agencies nationwide.
