On the afternoon of October 7, Comrade Vu Viet Van, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, chaired a meeting to hear the Provincial Industrial Zones Management Board report on the appraisal results of the 1/2,000-scale Sub-Zone Planning Project for Tam Duong II Industrial Park – Zone B, located in Tam Duong Bac and Dai Dinh communes.

Following the approval of planning tasks by the Provincial People’s Committee under Decision No. 2270/QD-UBND, the Provincial Industrial Zones Management Board organized contractor selection steps in accordance with regulations; gathered feedback from agencies, units, and residents within the planning area; and fundamentally clarified specialized content to serve appraisal procedures.

Tam Duong II Industrial Park – Zone B is oriented toward development as a concentrated, modern, and synchronized industrial park model, expanding industry in depth, improving productivity and quality, linked with green growth and sustainable development, and attracting high-tech industries.

Anticipated sectors and fields include: manufacturing electronic products and electronic supporting industry products; automobiles and motorcycles; mechanical engineering, assembly, and metal production; food and beverage processing; agricultural and forestry product processing; pharmaceutical manufacturing; and the production of new high-quality, environmentally friendly building materials. Total labor demand for the industrial park is estimated at over 9,400 people.

Contributing opinions at the conference, delegates expressed consensus with the report presented by the Provincial Industrial Zones Management Board; concurrently requesting that the planning project pay attention to arranging institutional facilities within the industrial park; reserve land funds for small and medium-sized enterprises to lease according to regulations; and calculate specifically and reasonably the locations of resettlement areas alongside power and water infrastructure works...

Overview of the conference.

Delivering concluding remarks, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Vu Viet Van requested the Provincial Industrial Zones Management Board alongside relevant agencies to focus on completing the planning project and clearly explain top-level impacts and residential area pockets.

Regarding site clearance, he requested departments and localities to pay attention to arranging resettlement land funds so residents feel secure handing over land, while tightening management over current land use status and construction order.

In addition, the planning project must carefully evaluate technical factors and propose solutions to restore severed transport infrastructure and irrigation canals; clarifying the current status of clean land and agricultural land to propose adding transformer substations to guarantee stable power supply.

He also emphasized that the project falls under mandatory public bidding to select investors, requiring a review of planning indicators and strict compliance with legal regulations.
