Hung Kings' Commemoration 2026: Meticulous Preparation for a National-Scale Event

On the afternoon of April 21, a working delegation led by Mr. Pham Dai Duong – Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation – conducted an inspection of the preparations for the 2026 Hung Kings' Commemoration – Hung Temple Festival and Ancestral Land Culture and Tourism Week.

The delegation included Mr. Tran Duy Dong – Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; Mr. Bui Van Quang – Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Major General Nguyen Minh Tuan – Director of the Provincial Police; Mr. Nguyen Huy Ngoc – Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee and Head of the Festival Organizing Committee; along with leaders from various provincial departments and agencies.

The delegation began by solemnly offering incense and flowers at the Upper Temple to pay tribute to the Hung Kings and ancestors. Following the rituals, Secretary Pham Dai Duong and the officials conducted field inspections across the Hung Temple Historic Site, including the areas surrounding the Upper Temple, the landscape of the Well Temple, the Lac Long Quan National Ancestor Temple, and key traffic routes serving the festival.

After the site visit, Secretary Pham Dai Duong highly commended the proactive spirit and sense of responsibility shown by provincial departments, local authorities, and the Hung Temple Historic Site Management Board in their execution of preparatory tasks. He emphasized that the 2026 Hung Kings' Commemoration is a national-scale event of paramount significance that attracts a vast number of citizens and tourists. Consequently, the Organizing Committee must review all assigned missions to ensure a solemn, synchronized, and thoughtful preparation.

The Secretary directed the Hung Temple Historic Site and relevant units to focus intensely on maintaining public security and order while preserving a “Green – Clean – Beautiful” landscape. He stressed that Organizing Committee members must collaborate closely to handle any arising situations promptly, thereby facilitating a smooth experience for pilgrims and visitors participating in the “cultural roots” activities. Furthermore, he urged all sectors to prioritize the Memorial Incense Offering Ceremony (on the 10th day of the 3rd lunar month) and to implement scientific traffic channeling plans to ensure safety and prevent congestion, especially on the main festival day.

During the program, the delegation also visited the Cultural Camp areas organized by local communes and wards. The Provincial Party Secretary reminded units to strictly comply with fire safety, security, and environmental hygiene regulations throughout the camp’s duration, while ensuring that cultural and artistic activities remain vibrant and healthy to welcome tourists.
