As part of the Hung Kings’ Commemoration Day and the Culture-Tourism Week of the Ancestral Land in the Year of the At Ty 2025, the Hung Vuong Museum-located within the Hung Kings Temple Historical Site-is showcasing thousands of artifacts, images, and documents, attracting tens of thousands of visitors to the sacred land of origin.
Situated on Cong Quan Hill, near Nghia Linh Mountain within the Hung Kings Temple Historical Site, the Hung Vuong Museum has become a major attraction during this year’s commemorative events.
In front of the museum, visitors are treated to performances of stam duong, a distinctive traditional cultural art form.
The museum welcomes a steady stream of both individual and group visitors. Many schools have organized field trips, giving students the opportunity to visit, explore, and learn about history through direct experience.
At the center of the museum’s first floor stands a large bronze drum, modeled after the Dong Son drum. The drum symbolizes the ancient Vietnamese concept of “round sky-square earth,” resembling a round rice cake.
Inside the museum, tens of thousands of visitors engage with the exhibitions, discovering the rich legacy of the Hung Kings era.
Artifacts are displayed with detailed annotations, helping to bring history vividly to life for visitors.
Guests use smartphones to scan QR codes and access in-depth historical information.
Young visitors are particularly drawn to the exhibition area featuring paintings that depict the landscape and people of Phu Tho.
All exhibition spaces are bustling with activity.
On the final Sunday before the short holiday, the museum saw an especially large number of visitors—both locals and tourists.
The exhibition at the Hung Vuong Museum runs from March 29 to April 7 (i.e., from the 1st to the 10th day of the third lunar month). It contributes to the promotion and celebration of the unique and time-honored cultural values of the Hung Kings era, sharing them with the public, tourists, and international friends alike.
