Incense Offering in Commemoration of the Hung Kings Ahead of the Ceremony Celebrating the 72nd Anniversary of Uncle Ho’s Visit to Hung Temple and the Inauguration of the Monument “Uncle Ho with the National Festival”

On the afternoon of September 18, at the Upper Temple within the Hung Temple Historical Relic Site, a delegation from Phu Tho Province respectfully offered incense to commemorate the Hung Kings and ancestors who contributed to nation-building and defense, while reporting on the preparations for the Ceremony Celebrating the 72nd Anniversary of Uncle Ho’s Visit to Hung Temple (September 19, 1954 – September 19, 2026) and the inauguration of the Monument “Uncle Ho with the National Festival.”

Attending the incense offering ceremony were comrades: Tran Duy Dong, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; Phung Thi Kim Nga, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Committee, and Head of the Anniversary Organizing Committee; members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee; leaders of the Provincial People’s Council, People’s Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Delegation of National Assembly Deputies, and various provincial departments, boards, and branches; representatives of the Political Work Department under the Ministry of Public Security; members of the Anniversary Organizing Committee; and leaders of Hy Cuong Commune.

Comrade Tran Duy Dong, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, alongside the provincial leadership delegation, respectfully offer incense in memory of the Hung Kings.

In a solemn and respectful atmosphere at Kinh Thien Palace atop Nghia Linh Mountain, delegates offered incense, flowers, and offerings, expressing profound gratitude for the merits of the Hung Kings and ancestors who founded and defended the nation, while commemorating and honoring President Ho Chi Minh — the beloved leader of the nation.

The delegation respectfully reported on the implementation progress of the “Uncle Ho with the National Festival” Monument project and the preparation work for the Ceremony Celebrating the 72nd Anniversary of Uncle Ho’s Visit to Hung Temple.

During his lifetime, President Ho Chi Minh always held deep affection and concern for the nation’s roots and the Worship of Hung Kings.

Phu Tho had the honor of welcoming Uncle Ho to visit Hung Temple twice. At this sacred origin of the nation, he left profound instructions regarding the responsibility to safeguard the fatherland and nation, while providing guidance on protecting, restoring, and embellishing Hung Temple so that it would forever remain a spiritual cultural space educating patriotic traditions and the moral principle of “When drinking water, remember the source.”

In particular, his advice at Hung Temple on September 19, 1954 — “The Hung Kings had the merit of founding the country, you and I must together defend it” — has become a sacred reminder of the responsibility to inherit and promote the nation-building and defending traditions of ancestors, inspiring patriotism, national pride, and the determination to build and protect the Fatherland.

Before the holy spirits of the Hung Kings and ancestors, the delegation respectfully prayed for national peace and prosperity, favorable weather, a thriving country, and happy, prosperous lives for the people; wishing for the Ancestral Land to grow increasingly wealthy, beautiful, and civilized.

Implementing the policy to preserve and promote the values of the Hung Temple Historical Relic Site, on May 6, 2026, the Prime Minister issued a decision approving adjustments to the master plan for preserving and promoting the values of the Hung Temple Historical Relic Site, which added the construction of a President Ho Chi Minh monument in the Festival Center area.

The “Uncle Ho with the National Festival” Monument project carries profound political, historical, cultural, and educational significance, reflecting the respect and gratitude of the Party Committee, government, armed forces, and ethnic communities of Phu Tho Province toward President Ho Chi Minh.

The work also contributes to honoring the historical and cultural values of the Ancestral Land, affirming the sacred connection between the nation’s origin of nation-building and the cause of building and defending the Fatherland in the Ho Chi Minh Era.

Delegates offered flowers at the Bas-relief “Uncle Ho Talking to Officers and Soldiers of the Tien Phong Army Division” at the Intersection 5 of Gieng Temple.

With the leadership and direction of Central and provincial authorities, close coordination among all levels, sectors, and functional forces, along with public consensus, the Monument project was executed ensuring progress, quality, and safety.

To date, preparations for the Ceremony Celebrating the 72nd Anniversary of Uncle Ho’s Visit to Hung Temple and the inauguration of the “Uncle Ho with the National Festival” Monument have been completed, ready for the official event taking place on the morning of September 19.

Before the holy spirits of the Hung Kings, the delegation pledged to continue promoting unity traditions, sense of responsibility, and solidarity to build an increasingly developed Phu Tho; preserving and promoting cultural heritage values of the Ancestral Land, educating present and future generations to always look toward their roots, remember, and fulfill the advice of beloved Uncle Ho: “The Hung Kings had the merit of founding the country, you and I must together defend it.”
