Launch Ceremony of the Emulation Movement “Determined to Successfully Achieve the Goal of Sustainable Double-Digit Growth for the 2026–2030 Period”

On June 13, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Central Council for Emulation and Commendation held the launch ceremony of the emulation movement entitled “Determined to Successfully Achieve the Goal of Sustainable Double-Digit Growth for the 2026–2030 Period.” The event was conducted both in person and online, connecting provinces and cities nationwide.

Attending the ceremony at the main venue was Mr. Le Minh Hung, Member of the Politburo, Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Central Council for Emulation and Commendation.

At the Phu Tho provincial venue were Mr. Pham Dai Duong, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Deputies Delegation; Mr. Tran Duy Dong, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; Mr. Bui Duc Hinh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council; Mr. Nguyen Huy Ngoc, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; together with leaders of provincial departments and agencies.

At the ceremony, delegates watched a documentary entitled “Vietnam’s Aspiration – Sustainable Double-Digit Growth,” highlighting the sound policies and strategic decisions of the Politburo and the Secretariat in pursuing sustainable double-digit economic growth in the new era, with the goal of building a prosperous, powerful, and happy Vietnam.

In his address, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung emphasized that the 14th National Party Congress had opened a new era of national development, setting the goal of transforming Viet Nam into a developing country with modern industry and upper-middle-income status by 2030, and into a developed, high-income country by 2045.

To realize this aspiration, Viet Nam must maintain rapid and sustainable economic growth of 10 percent or more annually during the 2026–2030 period.

With the slogan and guiding spirit “Strategic Vision – Breakthrough Thinking – Decisive Action – Sustainable Growth – Happy People,” the Prime Minister called upon all levels of government, sectors, localities, citizens, and the business community to continue promoting patriotism, the spirit of emulation, and the strength of national unity.

He urged the entire country to actively participate in movements aimed at innovating development institutions, removing institutional bottlenecks, streamlining administrative procedures, unlocking development resources, and making service quality for citizens and businesses the key measure of public-sector performance.

The Prime Minister also called for strong emulation movements in the fields of science and technology, innovation, digital transformation, and green transition; the development of modern and synchronized infrastructure; acceleration of national key projects and strategic transport, digital, energy, and logistics infrastructure.

Other priorities include building a modern, professional, and service-oriented public administration; promoting thrift and preventing wastefulness; strengthening budget and resource management; enhancing national defense, security, and foreign affairs; preserving cultural values; improving education and healthcare quality; and ensuring environmental sustainability and social welfare.

Quoting President Ho Chi Minh’s famous statement, “Patriotism means emulation, and those who are patriotic must engage in emulation,” the Prime Minister urged ministries, sectors, and localities to quickly translate the movement into practical action programs and plans suited to local realities.

He emphasized that emulation should become a driving force for development, generating effective models, valuable experiences, and exemplary initiatives that can be replicated throughout society.
