The Tay Thien Special National Relic and Scenic Area nestles within the primeval forest basin of Tam Dao, holding a central position among well-known spiritual destinations and tourist retreats. The site boasts a solid feng shui orientation of “crouching tiger, hidden dragon,” backed by sacred mountains and overlooking a vast plain.

Religious activities inside the Great Mandala Stupa – Tay Thien Special National Relic Area.

The opening ceremony of the Tay Thien Festival takes place annually on the 15th day of the second lunar month at the Tay Thien Scenic Area.

The custom of worshipping the Tay Thien Mother Goddess at the Tay Thien Relic Site is an integration and adaptation of natural conditions, geographical location, history, culture, and society of this land.

Every detail of the Great Mandala Stupa carries deep significance, from its shimmering golden pinnacle symbolizing complete wisdom to its Tibetan patterns blended with ancient Vietnamese art, creating an ensemble both solemn and welcoming. Standing 37 meters high and spanning 1,500 square meters at the center of the Tay Thien scenic area, the Stupa is regarded as the first Vajrayana Buddhist architectural masterpiece in Vietnam.
