Opening of Hung Kings’ Temple Festival and Fatherland Culture-Tourism Week

On April 9 (the 1st day of the third lunar month), at the Festival Center Stage - Hung Kings’ Temple Historical Relic Site, Phu Tho Province, the opening ceremony of Hung Kings’ Temple Festival and Fatherland Culture-Tourism Week in the year of Dragon 2024 was held.

In his opening speech, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Ho Dai Dung emphasized: The series of events in the Hung Kings’ Temple Festival and Fatherland Culture-Tourism Week in the year of Dragon 2024 aim to honor patriotic traditions and arouse the morality of “Drinking water, remember the source” and the strength of great national unity towards the source, gratitude for the merits of ancestors; At the same time, preserve and promote cultural heritage values associated with tourism development in the Fatherland.

He affirmed: Looking forward to the Hung Kings' Death Anniversary with deep respect and gratitude for the great contributions of the Hung Kings and our predecessors who have built and defended the country, Phu Tho province is determined to overcome all difficulties and challenges, seizing chances and opportunities, promoting good historical and cultural traditions; continuing to write new pages of history, brightening the heroic tradition of the Ancestral Land; Striving to build Phu Tho province - the land of the nation’s origins, to become increasingly more prosperous and civilized, and bring a full and happy life for people.

This year's Hung Kings’ Temple Festival and Fatherland Culture-Tourism Week are held from April 9-18 (ie 1^st to 10^th days of the lunar March) with joyful and healthy activities associated closely with cultural, sports and tourism events, expressing the unique cultural identity of the Fatherland.

After the opening drums, the Organizing Committee gave flowers and souvenir flags to representatives of localities and units participating in cultural, sports and tourism activities at this year’s festival.
