On May 30, the final round of the diving events and the awards ceremony for top-performing athletes were held at the Aquatic Sports Complex within the Tien Giang Provincial Sports Training and Competition Center. The Phu Tho diving team wrapped up the 2025 National Age Group Swimming and Diving Championship with a total of eight medals, ranking 12th out of 22 participating delegations.

Of the eight medals secured by the Land of the Ancestors’ athletes, standout performer Trinh Tien Dat earned four: one gold, two silvers, and one bronze across the men’s 50m, 100m, 200m, and 400m fins pair events. Athlete Trieu Anh Nguyet contributed one gold and one bronze in the women’s 50m and 100m fins pair events. The remaining two bronze medals were won by Nguyen Kieu Oanh in the women’s 50m fins spout event and Nguyen Thanh Tra in the women’s 50m fins pair event.

Earlier in the swimming category, two young swimmers, Nguyen Hoang Linh and Jessica Nguyen, delivered an impressive haul of 16 medals—including nine gold and six silver—helping the Phu Tho swimming team secure fifth place overall out of 34 participating delegations.
The 2025 National Age Group Swimming and Diving Championship took place from May 20 to 30 in Tien Giang province, featuring 34 swimming teams with 354 athletes and 22 diving teams with 260 athletes from provinces, cities, and sectors across the country. The outstanding performances by Phu Tho’s athletes in both swimming and diving serve as strong motivation for young talents to continue training and striving for even greater success in future national competitions.
