As one of the most anticipated spring festivals in the province, the Au Co Mother Temple Festival in Hien Luong Commune is currently underway. Featuring a series of unique historical and cultural activities, the festival has been attracting a large number of residents and tourists arriving to offer incense and pay their respects.
Au Co Mother Temple is ready for the festival opening.
According to the plan by the Hien Luong Commune People’s Committee, the opening ceremony will begin at 8:00 AM on Sunday, February 22, 2026 (the 6th day of the first lunar month) at the festival’s central stage.
In tandem with the ritual ceremonies, the program features various cultural activities, including Banh Chung (square glutinous rice cake) wrapping and cooking, Banh Giay (round rice cake) pounding, and sports exchanges. These activities see enthusiastic participation from local villages, including Chue Luu, Xuan Ang, Lam Loi, Dong Lam, Quan Khe, and Hien Luong.
The Main Incense Offering Ceremony (Tien Giang Day) is scheduled for 7:30 AM on Monday, February 23, 2026 (the 7th day of the first lunar month). The procession will move from Duc Ong Communal House to the ceremonial courtyard of Au Co Mother Temple.

The festival space at Au Co Mother Temple is beautifully decorated and well-maintained.
Prior to the main festival day, traditional rites are held with solemnity and reverence, including the incense offering for Au Co Mother Ancestor’s Anniversary (held on February 12, 2026) and the sacrificial rite for the Three Duc Ong Deities (on February 21, 2026).
The 2026 Au Co Mother Temple Festival aims to express profound gratitude to the ancestors and predecessors for their contributions to building and defending the nation. It seeks to evoke patriotism and the spirit of great national unity during the current era of national protection and international integration.

Numerous photo spots are arranged throughout the premises for visitors to capture beautiful moments.
The festival activities contribute to preserving and promoting the nation’s historical and cultural traditions while showcasing the tourism potential of Hien Luong to domestic and international visitors. Furthermore, the event fosters a joyful and vibrant atmosphere for the New Year, encouraging citizens to actively participate in patriotic movements, labor, and production to achieve socio-economic development goals and ensure local defense and security.
