Import-export activities across the province continue to maintain a positive growth momentum. Notably, export turnover surpassed the annual plan starting in August 2026, creating a premise for the province to strive toward completing its 2026 trade objectives.

Manufacturing activities at the Lumi Smart Factory (Thang Long III Industrial Park) contribute to maintaining production capacity, ensuring order schedules, and driving the province’s export growth.
According to aggregated figures from the Industry and Trade sector, during the first 9 months of 2026, the province’s total import-export turnover reached nearly 116.7 billion USD, equivalent to 150% of the annual plan. Among this, export turnover reached 50.9 billion USD, up 129% over the same period; import turnover reached 65.7 billion USD, up 171% over the same period. The trade balance recorded a trade deficit of approximately 14.88 billion USD.
The highlight is that export turnover exceeded the annual plan starting in August 2026. This result demonstrates that the scale of manufacturing, goods supply, and international trade across the province continues to be maintained at a high level. Processing and manufacturing industrial product groups—including electronics, computers, mobile phones, and components—continue to play a vital role in the export commodity structure.
According to projected scenarios from the Industry and Trade sector, in Q4/2026, the province’s export turnover strives to reach 30 billion USD, with import turnover reaching 14.62 billion USD—bringing total Q4 import-export turnover to 44.62 billion USD.
For the entire year, export turnover is projected to reach 80.9 billion USD, hitting approximately 204.8% of the plan and up about 121.1% compared to 2025; import turnover is projected to reach 80.4 billion USD, hitting approximately 208.8% of the plan and up about 111.44% compared to 2025. Total annual import-export turnover is estimated to reach 161.3 billion USD, with a trade surplus of approximately 0.5 billion USD.
Achieved results alongside Q4/2026 prospects indicate that import-export activities continue to serve as one of the key drivers of the province’s economic growth. Phu Tho is concentrating on deploying solutions to maintain its export momentum and elevate import efficiency serving production—striving to complete set targets while raising the value contribution of import-export activities toward local socio-economic development.
