From June 5 to 8, the 2025 Lao Cai International Tourism Fair took place in Lao Cai City under the theme “Lao Cai Tourism—Connecting Green Aspirations.”
Phu Tho province’s booth at the Lao Cai International Tourism Fair.
This year’s fair featured 130 booths representing domestic and international businesses. Notably, the event welcomed a large-scale farm trip delegation, comprising 120 major international travel agencies from over 10 countries and territories—key international tourism markets for Lao Cai—including China, Malaysia, India, Japan, Australia, South Korea, France, Thailand, the Philippines, and Indonesia. Additionally, more than 40 domestic and international promotion and media organizations attended the event.
Introducing tourism products and traditional craft villages typical of the Land of the Ancestors.
At the Phu Tho tourism promotion booth, the province showcased its signature tourism products and services, especially those related to spiritual and resort tourism. Visitors also had the opportunity to explore a variety of local specialties and handicrafts typical of the Land of the Ancestors, such as conical hats, Thanh Son sour pork, rice noodles, green tea, bronze drums, Do Xuyen ceremonial trays, and Son Vi earthenware heaters.
Tourists visited the booth of Phu Tho province.
This event served as a key tourism and cultural highlight for both Lao Cai Province and the broader Northwestern region. It reaffirmed Lao Cai’s role and position as an economic hub, a cultural exchange gateway, and a center for trade and tourism cooperation—promoting regional development along the East–West economic corridor and the Northeast economic belt, both domestically and internationally.
