On February 4, Mr. Nguyen Khac Hieu, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, received and worked with a delegation from the Gyeonggi Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (South Korea) to explore investment cooperation opportunities in Phu Tho.
Vice Chairman Nguyen Khac Hieu witnesses the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony between the Gyeonggi Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry and partners in Phu Tho Province.
At the meeting, Vice Chairman Nguyen Khac Hieu warmly welcomed the delegation and provided an overview of Phu Tho’s potential and strengths. He highlighted the province’s strategic geographical location, ample development space, abundant resources, and increasingly synchronized transportation and technical infrastructure, all of which create a favorable environment for investment.
Currently, Phu Tho hosts 387 South Korean projects with a total registered capital of nearly 5 billion dollars. The province aims to expand cooperation with the Gyeonggi Federation in high-tech industries—such as semiconductor chips, electronic components, and precision engineering—as well as biotech-applied agricultural processing, high-quality human resource training, vocational education, and the development of eco-tourism and cultural tourism.
In his remarks, Mr. Bae Hae-Dong, Chairman of the Gyeonggi Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry, expressed his delight at visiting Phu Tho during the first days of the new year. He introduced Gyeonggi as South Korea’s most populous province and its “economic and industrial heart,” home to major technology giants like Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix. He noted that the similarities and mutual strengths of the two localities provide a solid foundation for effective and practical investment cooperation in the future.
The delegation showed keen interest in investment incentives, land lease prices, and the labor force in Phu Tho. They committed to supporting and connecting Gyeonggi enterprises to invest in the province while promoting cultural and people-to-people diplomacy between the two regions.
During the working session, the two sides signed five Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) regarding investment promotion between the Gyeonggi Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (South Korea) and various entities in Phu Tho Province, including: the Phu Tho Investment Promotion and Business Support Center; the Phu Tho Business Association; and the investors and management units of CNCTECH Industrial Park, Thai Hoa - Lien Son - Lien Hoa Industrial Park, and Tam Dương Industrial Park.

The delegation from the Gyeonggi Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (South Korea) visits and explores investment opportunities at Nam Binh Xuyen Industrial Park.
Earlier, the delegation visited the Nam Binh Xuyen Industrial Park, managed by CNC Tech Group. This industrial park is characterized by its technical infrastructure and a development orientation focused on being green, modern, and environmentally friendly.
The Chairman of the Gyeonggi Federation expressed his deep impression of the infrastructure at Nam Binh Xuyen Industrial Park. He also voiced a desire to strengthen cooperation, share expertise in industrial park development, and leverage the mutual strengths of both localities to attract businesses and foster a long-term strategic partnership between Phu Tho and Gyeonggi.
