According to the latest review, the province currently has 164 biological children of resistance fighters exposed to Agent Orange/dioxin who receive monthly preferential allowances and are living in temporary or dilapidated houses. Among them, 80 households require new homes, while 84 households need house repairs.

During the meeting, participants discussed and contributed recommendations to verify eligible beneficiaries and finalize preparations for the simultaneous groundbreaking ceremony of the province-wide housing construction and renovation program, which is expected to take place on July 10, 2026.

Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman Nguyen Khac Hieu emphasized that the program is a meaningful activity in celebration of the 80th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947–July 27, 2027). To ensure the simultaneous groundbreaking on July 10, he requested the Department of Home Affairs to work closely with communal and ward-level authorities to carefully verify eligible beneficiaries, complete all required documentation, and particularly finalize land-related procedures and land-use rights documentation. For cases where construction sites are not yet available, local authorities were instructed to proactively propose appropriate solutions.

The Vice Chairman also assigned the Provincial Military Command to deploy personnel to assist with construction and provide technical advice on suitable housing designs. The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Phu Tho Province was tasked with closely following central government guidance in order to promptly advise on the allocation of financial support, while the Department of Finance, in coordination with the Fatherland Front Committee, was instructed to balance the provincial budget and mobilize additional social resources to ensure the timely and effective implementation of the program.
