As the Lunar New Year (Tet) draws near, the economic pulse of Phu Tho province has become more vibrant than ever. From factories and workshops in industrial zones to traditional craft villages, and from supermarkets to local markets, a sense of urgency and excitement in labor and trade has spread throughout the region.
In the days leading up to Tet, workers at Vit Garment Export Co., Ltd. (Dong Thinh Industrial Cluster, Song Lo Commune) are working overtime to complete orders on schedule.
For many industrial enterprises, the period before Tet is considered the year-end "sprint." Many production lines are operating at full capacity, with employees working overtime to meet delivery deadlines. Sectors such as consumer goods, processed foods, garments, and electronic components have recorded a sharp increase in orders compared to previous months, serving both domestic consumption and early-year exports.
The atmosphere is busy yet cheerful. Stable employment, improved income from overtime pay, Tet bonuses, and welfare benefits have motivated workers to stay committed to their companies. For many, these year-end shifts are not just about meeting production targets but are also practical preparations for a prosperous Tet holiday.
BHflex Vina, a 100% South Korean-invested enterprise, specializes in Flexible Printed Circuit Boards (FPCB)—high-tech components used in mobile devices, automobiles, medical equipment, and smart electronics. To expand its export markets, the company has continuously invested in technological innovation, modernized its production lines, and established an in-house R&D department. At the same time, it has accelerated the application of science and technology to optimize quality control, enhance productivity, and minimize errors. Currently, its lines are running at maximum capacity to fulfill major export contracts.
It is estimated that in 2025, BHflex Vina’s export revenue will continue to grow by 10-20% compared to 2024. The company provides jobs for over 4,000 workers, with an average income of nearly 12 million VND/person/month.

In rural areas, traditional craft villages have also entered their peak season. Bakeries, agricultural processing workshops, and facilities producing vermicelli, woodwork, and handicrafts are busy day and night. Products are often purchased by traders as soon as they are finished. This thriving market allows residents to confidently maintain their livelihoods and preserve local cultural identities.
In Vinh Phu Commune, which hosts five traditional craft villages and dozens of auxiliary crafts, the production atmosphere is electric. The commune has over 2,000 households engaged in traditional trades such as carpentry and blacksmithing, providing stable jobs for over 4,000 regular workers and thousands of seasonal laborers.
Beside the woodwork craft in Van Giang and Van Ha hamlets, the blacksmithing trade in Ban Mach Hamlet is equally bustling. With key products like knives, scissors, and agricultural tools, Ban Mach’s products are not only consumed domestically but are also exported to foreign markets such as Cambodia, Laos, and China.

Workers at Trong Binh Blacksmith Workshop, Ban Mach Hamlet, Vinh Phu Commune, are busy packaging products for timely delivery to partners.
Alongside production, the trade and service sector has recorded significant activity. Supermarkets, convenience stores, and shopping centers have simultaneously increased their inventory and extended operating hours to meet the shopping needs of the people. From fresh food and processed goods to clothing, household appliances, and ornamental plants, trading remains brisk from early morning until late at night. Notably, purchasing power this year tends to be higher than in the same period last year, reflecting consumer confidence in economic prospects and income levels.
The Tet market has long been seen as a “health check” for the local economy. Stable production and vibrant trade have contributed to state budget revenue, increased income for laborers, and supported small-scale producers. This serves as a foundation for businesses to confidently build their business plans for the early months of the new year, avoiding a "post-Tet slump."
Amidst the festive atmosphere of the approaching Spring, these positive signals from the pre-Tet market demonstrate the resilience and momentum of Phu Tho’s economy. This is the result of business dynamism, the diligence of workers, and the proactive, flexible governance of local authorities, all aiming toward stable and sustainable development.
