The 2026 festival marks the first year Phu Tho organized the event within a new development space following administrative mergers. The week featured a diverse and rich series of cultural, sporting, and tourism events that converged the cultural identities of various regions across the Ancestral Land. The event introduced many new features, significantly enhancing the experience for both residents and tourists.
Cultural and festival values were transformed into tourism products through an experiential series, including: the Street Folk Festival; “Xoan Singing in Ancient Villages” performances; cultural camps; Banh Chung and Banh Giay contests; art programs; the Hung Temple Night Tour; trade fairs promoting local specialties and regional cuisine; and various sporting events.
Phu Tho also actively implemented the 2026 Tourism Stimulus Program with the themes: “Phu Tho – Come to Love” and "Phu Tho Tourism – A Multi-faceted Experience."
After their pilgrimage to the Hung Temple, many tourists chose to stay and experience eco-resorts and community-based tourism at other attractive destinations within the region, such as: Thanh Thuy, Tam Dao, Dai Lai, Mai Chau, Kim Boi, and Hoa Binh Lake...
Despite the surge in people and vehicles, security, traffic safety, environmental hygiene, food safety, and support services were effectively managed. This left a lasting positive impression of the Ancestral Land on all visitors.
According to the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, these figures represent a positive signal for Phu Tho’s tourism industry.
