On September 14, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired a conference of the Standing Government to work with State-owned enterprises (SOEs) nationwide on solutions to promote production, business and development investment.

At the conference, delegates focused on discussing and clarifying a number of issues: Assessing the contribution of SOEs to socio-economic development; setting the specific roadmap for cooperation in the fields of high technology and digital technology; handling loss-making and ineffective projects; Reviewing, amending and supplementing the list and equitization plan...

Concluding the conference, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed that the SOE sector makes an important contribution to stabilizing the macroeconomy and promoting socio-economic development. Innovating and improving the operational efficiency of SOEs is of interest to the Party and State and is identified as one of the key tasks of all levels and sectors in implementing socio-economic development.

In the coming time, relevant ministries and branches need to urgently research and propose amendments and improvements to the system of mechanisms and policies to thoroughly remove obstacles regarding legal mechanisms for production and business activities, investment and development of state-owned enterprises; motivate businesses to invest in expanding and developing new industries and products. Ministries, branches, localities, and owner representative agencies focus on directing businesses, groups, and corporations to speed up the progress and ensure the quality of investment projects; highly concentrate resources to ensure the progress milestones.
