In the context of Vietnam’s increasing deep participation in Free Trade Agreements (FTAs), the province has been accelerating the propaganda work on International Economic Integration (IEI) in a synchronized, practical manner, aligning with new requirements. In October 2025, the Provincial People’s Committee (PPC) issued a decision to consolidate the International Economic Integration Steering Committee and its assisting unit, creating a basis for enhancing the effectiveness of directing, coordinating, and implementing integration tasks within the area.
Vina Shinhwa Co., Ltd. (Binh Xuyen II Industrial Park) - a 100% Korean-invested enterprise operating effectively in the field of electronic component manufacturing.
Identifying propaganda as a key task, departments and sectors are strengthening coordination, diversifying methods of disseminating information to officials, civil servants, public employees, enterprises, and citizens. The content focuses on new guidelines and policies of the Party and State regarding IEI; Vietnam’s commitments in new-generation FTAs such as the CPTPP, EVFTA, UKVFTA, RCEP, VIFTA, and Vietnam - UAE; while guiding enterprises to utilize tariff preferences, rules of origin, technical standards, and effectively handle trade barriers.
The province regularly compiles and provides information on markets, tariffs, import-export situations, and related policies, including the US countervailing duties, helping enterprises adapt promptly, expand markets, and enhance product quality. Through coordination with the Ministry of Industry and Trade and functional agencies, enterprises are updated on technical requirements, trade defense regulations, and import-export management practices. Training courses are organized both in-person and online, focusing on market access, intellectual property, sustainable development, and digital transformation... with special attention given to supporting small and medium-sized enterprises.
The province is accelerating the innovation of trade promotion activities, expanding domestic and international supply-demand connections. Trade exchange and product promotion programs, especially for agricultural products, are regularly organized to support enterprises, cooperatives, and business households in accessing international markets. Concurrently, the focus is on promoting the local culture, image, and development potential; and mobilizing resources from overseas Vietnamese, especially the intellectual and entrepreneurial community of Phu Tho abroad.
From the beginning of 2025 until now, the province has organized many trade missions for investment promotion abroad; welcomed and worked with corporations and enterprises from countries such as: Japan, Korea, Taiwan (China), China, Thailand, Germany, Switzerland, India... Furthermore, investment promotion materials have been compiled and provided to the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Vietnamese representative agencies abroad to promote Phu Tho’s investment environment and development opportunities.
The province places special importance on on-site investment promotion, focusing on removing difficulties and creating favorable conditions for active investors. Administrative reform is being accelerated; the infrastructure of industrial parks and clusters continues to be improved; clean land sites, transport connectivity, and human resource training are emphasized, making the province ready to welcome new projects.
Thanks to synchronized and flexible solutions, by the end of October 2025, the province had attracted 1.219 billion USD in FDI capital, an 84% increase over the same period and reaching 115.1% of the 2025 growth target; DDI capital is estimated to reach 61.3 trillion VND, nearly 3 times higher than the same period, achieving 71% of the 2025 target.
Aiming to be in the top 10 localities nationwide with the highest Provincial Green Index (PGI) by 2030, Phu Tho is focusing on planning, expanding, and synchronizing the infrastructure system of industrial zones and clusters; strongly improving the PCI, PAR Index, and SIPAS indices; attracting investment in high technology, supporting industries, high-tech agriculture, and eco-cultural tourism. The province is promoting cooperation with large corporations from Japan, Korea, the EU, and the US... to grasp the trend of global supply chain shifts; strengthening investment promotion, market research, and expanding international connections; while maintaining dialogue with enterprises, improving the business environment, and promoting the local image.
At the meeting with Korean agencies, organizations, and enterprises, PPC Chairman Tran Duy Dong emphasized: With an increasingly large population scale, expanded development space, and strengthening resources, Phu Tho is focusing on perfecting logistics, industrial, urban, and service infrastructure, creating an important foundation to receive high-quality and sustainable FDI capital flows. The province commits to maintaining regular dialogue channels between the government and enterprises, promoting on-site investment promotion, supporting production expansion, and strengthening enterprise connectivity. At the same time, Phu Tho wishes for FDI enterprises to cooperate deeply with local enterprises, contributing to enhancing production capacity, governance, technological innovation, and effective participation in the global supply chain.
