On May 9, the Organizing Committee of the Hung Kings’ Commemoration Day convened a conference to review the organization of the Hung Kings’ Commemoration Day and the Ancestral Land Culture and Tourism Week in 2025. Attending and directing the conference was Mr. Nguyen Huy Ngoc, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, and Head of the Organizing Committee.

The Hung Kings’ Commemoration Day and the Ancestral Land Culture and Tourism Week in 2025 were solemnly organized by Phu Tho Province, leaving a profound impression on citizens and visitors from both within the country and abroad. Notably, the incense-offering ceremony commemorating the Hung Kings was held on the 10th day of the third month of the lunar calendar, drawing the participation of Party and State leaders, representatives from central ministries, departments, localities, and a large number of people, including overseas Vietnamese and international tourists.

Alongside the ceremonial rites, the festival and activities of the Culture and Tourism Week unfolded in vibrant and diverse ways, featuring more than 30 events across culture, arts, sports, exhibitions, and folk performances. These events captivated audiences and drew strong public engagement.
Media, promotional, and communication efforts were implemented synchronously and effectively through press agencies, television, digital platforms, and social media. More than 4,300 news articles and broadcasts were released, including over 1,400 from local media outlets, helping to widely disseminate the festival’s message and the cultural identity of the Ancestral Land.

Reception and service arrangements for party and state leaders, central and local delegations, and the general public were well-coordinated, ensuring safety and thoughtful hospitality. Phu Tho Province welcomed over 5.5 million visitors during the festival, marking an 83% increase from the previous year. Security, order, traffic safety, fire prevention, environmental sanitation, health, and food safety were strictly and effectively maintained—ensuring absolute safety with no incidents reported.

Speaking at the event, Vice Chairman Nguyen Huy Ngoc commended the organizing committee members and all involved forces for contributing to the success of this year’s celebration. He tasked the management of the Hung King Temple Historical Relic Site with reviewing, upgrading, and promptly restoring infrastructure projects previously approved by the Provincial People’s Committee. He also called for a comprehensive re-planning of the site’s service areas, including counters, shops, parking facilities, and landscaping.
The Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism was assigned to coordinate with the Department of Science and Technology and related agencies to strengthen the application of digital technologies in the organization, management, and promotion of festivals. They are also expected to continue developing tours and travel routes to build a distinctive, sustainable tourism brand: “Phu Tho – The Origin of the Vietnamese People.”

Vice Chairman Nguyen Huy Ngoc further instructed departments and agencies to proactively prepare plans for the 2026 Hung Kings’ Commemoration Day, as well as celebrations of major national holidays and anniversaries—ensuring consistency, substance, creativity, and widespread public and international participation. He encouraged local communities and organizations to engage directly in preserving and promoting traditional cultural heritage.
On this occasion, 40 collectives and 14 individuals were honored with Certificates of Merit by the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee for their remarkable contributions to the organization of the 2025 Hung Kings’ Commemoration Day and Ancestral Land Culture and Tourism Week.
