The “Sweet Harvest” on the Thu Cuc hills

Previously, the sloping land in Thu Cuc commune yielded low agricultural productivity. Recognizing that the soil and climate were suitable for fruit tree cultivation, some farmers in Nga Hai and Khu Con areas boldly switched to growing oranges and tangerines, bringing high economic efficiency and generating income of several hundred million dong per year.

As the Lunar New Year approaches, visitors to Thu Cuc can easily spot gardens of “yellow-heart” oranges, Canh oranges, and Thai tangerines laden with fruit, glowing bright yellow across the hillsides. This vibrant scenery not only signals a prosperous Spring but also confirms that oranges and tangerines have become the “sweet fruits” of the Thu Cuc highlands.
