To accelerate digital transformation in manufacturing and enhance the competitiveness of industrial enterprises, the Department of Industry and Trade, in collaboration with Samsung Electronics Vietnam, has conducted assessments and selected businesses to participate in the 2026 Smart Factory Development Support Project. As a result, G8 Electronics Joint Stock Company and Viet Form Tech Mechanical Technology Forming Joint Stock Company (Viet Form Tech) have been chosen to join the programme.
The project marks an important milestone in the participating companies' digital transformation journey, with the goal of increasing their smart factory maturity from Level 0.8 to Level 1.8.

The 2026 Smart Factory Development Support Project is a collaborative initiative between Samsung Electronics Vietnam and the Ministry of Industry and Trade, designed to help Vietnamese manufacturers modernise production, improve management efficiency, optimise operational processes, and progressively adopt internationally recognised smart factory standards.
Throughout the selection process, the Department of Industry and Trade coordinated the review, nomination and evaluation of enterprises that met the programme’s requirements. Following on-site assessments, Samsung Electronics Vietnam’s experts concluded that G8 Electronics Joint Stock Company and Viet Form Tech Mechanical Technology Forming Joint Stock Company possess strong manufacturing capabilities, sound management systems and significant growth potential, making them well suited for the project.

According to the implementation plan, the project officially commenced in July 2026. During the programme, Samsung’s specialists will assess each company’s current production systems, analyse operational processes, identify areas requiring improvement, provide consultancy on productivity enhancement, quality management and production management solutions, and offer guidance on applying digital technologies for factory operation, monitoring and management.
Following the launch ceremony, G8 Electronics Joint Stock Company and Viet Form Tech Mechanical Technology Forming Joint Stock Company will continue to receive technical consultancy and mentoring from Korean experts as they develop their smart factory roadmaps, modernise production management systems, and strengthen their capacity to meet the requirements of global supply chains.
The participation of these two Phu Tho enterprises in the 2026 Smart Factory Development Support Project not only provides access to advanced manufacturing technologies and management solutions but also contributes to accelerating digital transformation among local enterprises, promoting the development of the province’s supporting industries, and enhancing the competitiveness of Vietnamese businesses in the new stage of industrial development.
