Cam Khe district has recently promoted the execution of the One Commune One OCOP Product Program in the goal of enhancing quality and increasing the value of agricultural and traditional goods based on potential and advantages of locality. As a result, companies, cooperatives, and individuals will benefit.

In 2023, evaluate and improve the OCOP One Commune One Product Program.

Cam Khe district has developed a plan to undertake the One Commune One Product Program in order to implement the OCOP program. In particular, the district has asked each commune to select at least one product based on traditional items, typical of the region, acceptable for customer tastes, and meeting all food criteria for quality, cleanliness, and safety. The program has actually become a movement to foster the spirit of creative entrepreneurship among the people, is the appropriate and opportune path, and has received great comments from the people. People initiate and implement all OCOP product concepts. Then, developing a growth environment in which establishments and products participating in OCOP may compete and circulate items to the market...

There are 17 items registered in the district to participate in the review and classification of OCOP products (one OCOP product is suggested to be upgraded from 3 stars to 4 stars, and 16 products are examined and classed for the first time). So far, there are 16 items of 12 themes in 9 communes and municipalities with comprehensive dossiers. Cam Khe town has five records (Sai Nga Non La, Son Binh Robusta Tea, Son Binh SK Tea, Son Binh Cassava Cake with vegetarian filling, Son Binh Cassava Cake with meat filling of Ha Thanh Binh production facility); Yen Tap commune has two product profiles (Thanh Lam rice wine, male papaya flower tea - purple black raspberry of Thanh Lam Agricultural Food Cooperative); Hung Viet commune has three product profiles (Dat To Chung Cake and Red Bean Chung Cake of Dat To Agricultural and Trade Cooperative; Thach De Rice Noodles of Hung Viet Agricultural Cooperative); Tam Son commune has a product profile (Mrs. Hang sticky rice soy sauce), Cap Dat commune has a product profile (Lang Dinh sticky rice sauce of Tran Ngoc Khuong business household); Son Tinh commune has a product profile (Linh Trang baked cakes of the business household Nguyen Van Dong); Phu Khe commune has a product profile (Phuc Linh freeze-dried cordyceps); Minh Tan commune has a product profile (Minh Tan rice noodles of the business household Doan Ngoc Quang); and Phuong commune Vy has a product profile (Phuoc Duyen spring rolls).

According to the assessment, production entities have paid a lot of attention to market development but have not been able to develop strongly because they primarily sell through private traders or consume within the province, do not have enough funding for construction, develop a system of distribution channels and consumption agents bound by full association contracts, as well as your unit’s business management system,... Furthermore, the items are also authorized by Production organizations are interested in variables such as enhancing quality, improving product design and packaging, and guaranteeing regulatory compliance in the manufacturing process.

However, the scale of most manufacturing operations is modest and fragmented; a tiny consumer market, basic packaging, and insufficient labeling of certain items; trade marketing remains restricted, and establishments are uninterested in branding...The entity affiliation is still shaky; the items included in the connection are largely produced and sold by third parties, and only a few products bear the facility’s own brand on the market...

To develop and improve OCOP products, district specialized departments and commune and town People’s Committees guide entities in the area to register participating products; promote consultation and guidance on support policies, trademark registration procedures, enhance trade promotion, and promote OCOP products to increase product competitiveness in the market. In addition, the district promotes supporting trade promotion activities, establishing favorable conditions for entities to link with enterprises, and growing consumer markets so that the OCOP program may actually benefit. Once again, really effective.
