On November 28, the Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee, Central Propaganda Department, and Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences jointly organized the workshop “Implementing the national value system, cultural value system, family value system, and Vietnamese human standards in the new period associated with the reality of the Northern Midlands and Mountains.”.
The workshop was chaired by Mr. Phung Khanh Tai, Standing Deputy Secretary of Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee; Dr. Dinh Thi Mai, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department; and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ta Minh Tuan, Vice President of Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences.
Mr.Phung Khanh Tai, Standing Deputy Secretary of Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee, delivered the opening speech at the workshop.
Speaking at the opening of the workshop, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Phung Khanh Tai emphasized: Our Party identifies culture as the spiritual foundation of society, both a goal and an endogenous strength, an important driving force for national development; developing culture synchronously and harmoniously with economic growth and social progress is a fundamental orientation of the process of building socialism in Vietnam, demonstrating the superiority of our regime. In recent years, Phu Tho and the provinces in the Northern Midlands and Mountains have researched and concretized the national value system, cultural value system, family value system, and standards of Vietnamese people in the new era. The workshop is of great significance, the results of which will continue to provide a scientific and practical basis to advise the Party and the State on the promulgation of policies to thoroughly grasp, implement, and continue to supplement and perfect the value systems in social life, meeting the needs of building and promoting cultural values, the strength of Vietnamese people in general, and of the Northern Midlands and Mountains in particular. For Phu Tho province, preserving and promoting the strength of cultural values and people is to promote the province’s endogenous strength, determined to successfully implement the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress and contribute to the successful implementation of the tasks set out at the 13th National Congress of the Party.

At the workshop, delegates, experts, scientists, and researchers discussed, provided documents, and scientific arguments; analyzed and clarified the role and value of the land and people of the Northern Midlands and Mountains; and the theoretical basis, methodology, and relationship between the implementation of the National Value System, the Cultural Value System, and Vietnamese Human Standards associated with the preservation and development of the Vietnamese family value system in the Northern Midlands and Mountains. At the same time, clarify the current status of the implementation of the National Value System, the Cultural Value System, the Family Value System, and Vietnamese Human Standards; recommend orientations and solutions to help localities develop rapidly and sustainably in the context of current global integration.

Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department Dinh Thi Mai affirmed: Researching, identifying, and implementing the construction of a system of national values, a system of cultural values, a system of family values, and standards for Vietnamese people is very important in order to build and promote cultural values and the strength of Vietnamese people in the cause of innovation, industrialization, modernization of the country, building and defending the Fatherland, and international integration. From the results of the workshop, the Party committees and authorities of localities in the Northern Midlands and Mountains region continue to pay attention to leading, directing research, and resolutely implementing and concretizing the contents of the value system and standards of Vietnamese people into regulations, policies, and guidelines in the documents of Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term and associated with concretizing the development goals, tasks, and solutions of localities and regions as determined in Resolution No. 11-NQ/TW dated February 10, 2022 of the Politburo.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ta Minh Tuan, Vice President of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences, delivered the opening speech at the workshop.
It is necessary to promote the widespread dissemination of the value systems and standards of Vietnamese people in the new period, making the Party committees at all levels, the government, organizations, cadres, Party members and the People deeply imbued with the role and importance of building and effectively implementing the value systems and resolutions, directives, conclusions of the Party, and the State’s legal policies on culture, contributing to the building and development of Vietnamese culture and people, making culture truly become the foundation, endogenous strength, and driving force for rapid and sustainable development, contributing to bringing the country into a new era - the era of national development.
