From April 1 to 7 (corresponding to the 4th to 10th day of the third lunar month), the Center for Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Viet Tri City, in collaboration with the communes of Phuong Lau, Kim Duc, and Hung Lo, will organize Xoan singing performances in ancient villages. These performances will take place at key cultural heritage sites, including An Thai Communal House, Lai Len Temple, Thet Communal House, and Hung Lo Communal House, serving tourists visiting the Hung King’s Death Anniversary—Hung King Temple Festival and the Cultural-Tourism Week of the Ancestral Land in 2025.
At Hung Lo Communal House (Hung Lo Commune, Viet Tri City)
Tourists will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the enchanting melodies of Xoan singing while visiting these historical relics. Tourists also interact with artisans from original Xoan guilds, such as Phu Duc, Kim Doi, Thet, and An Thai, on the origins, structure, and significance of Xoan singing. Audiences will experience renowned ancient Xoan melodies, including Nhap Tac Moi Vua, Don Dao, Bo Bo, Trong Quan, and Mo Ca, and even participate in the festival stage, singing along with the artisans.
At Lai Len Temple (Kim Duc Commune, Viet Tri City)
Through this program, Xoan singing—a recognized UNESCO Representative Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity—is further introduced and promoted to domestic and international visitors. This event not only enhances appreciation for this unique art form but also encourages local communities and artisans to continue preserving, protecting, and passing down Xoan singing to future generations.
