With the advantage of natural hot mineral resources, an increasingly sophisticated tourism infrastructure, and a powerful wave of investment from major corporations, Thanh Thuy is transforming into a promising wellness and resort destination, ready for a major breakthrough in the coming period.
Tourists from Hanoi and neighboring provinces flock to Thanh Thuy for sightseeing and relaxation.
It is no coincidence that investors and tourists have been mentioning Thanh Thuy more frequently in recent years. This land along the Da River possesses a unique “asset”: a natural hot mineral source formed over millions of years of geological activity—the core element creating a distinct identity for local tourism.
In the context of rising demand for wellness retreats, these hot springs are more than just an advantage; they are the foundation for Thanh Thuy to build a sustainable tourism ecosystem. From mineral baths and therapy to year-round retreats, everything revolves around the “healing” value bestowed by nature.
In early April 2026, the influx of visitors to Thanh Thuy surged significantly. Long queues of vehicles from Hanoi and nearby provinces highlight the clear attraction of this destination. The fresh natural space, peaceful landscapes, and slow pace of life make it an ideal choice for short-term getaways.
According to Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thuan, Chief of Office of the People’s Council and People’s Committee of Thanh Thuy Commune, a relatively complete system of accommodation and services has been established. The commune currently hosts 24 accommodation establishments with 3,663 rooms, of which 3,095 meet 3-to-5-star standards. Major resorts such as Dao Ngoc Xanh, Lynn Times Thanh Thuy, Bamboo Resort, and Tre Nguon Resort provide not only lodging but also integrated wellness, entertainment, and nature-based experiences.
At the Lynn Times Thanh Thuy Resort, Ms. Nguyen Thu Hang, a tourist from Hanoi, shared enthusiastically: "A drive of just over an hour from Hanoi brings you to a completely different resort space. Soaking in the hot springs and relaxing amidst nature makes me feel truly recharged."
The synergy between natural elements and upgraded services is helping Thanh Thuy define its position on Northern Vietnam’s tourism map as a place for rest, recovery, and balance.
If natural resources are the “starting point,” then investment capital is the engine driving Thanh Thuy’s acceleration. Recently, a series of large-scale projects have been implemented, reshaping the local tourism landscape.
A notable project is the High-end Residential and Resort Complex in Thanh Thuy commune, currently in the site clearance phase with an area of over 25 hectares. This project is master-planned with modern social infrastructure, services, and landscapes, aiming to become a high-quality retreat.

Site preparation is underway for the Thanh Thuy Onsen Village project.
Simultaneously, the Thanh Thuy Onsen Village project—featuring 95 row houses and 69 villas—is under construction near the commune center. Notably, in March 2026, AMDI Group officially broke ground on the Swiss Eden Hot Spring Village. Spanning over 15 hectares, the project includes 72 island villas, 100 shophouses, and 225 row houses, alongside a luxury hotel and tourist apartment complex. AMDI Group is committed to developing Swiss Eden toward sustainability, focusing on the quality of the living experience rather than quantity.
Local authorities are actively “paving the way” for tourism growth. Mr. Nguyen Dang Khoa, Vice Chairman of the Thanh Thuy Commune People’s Committee, stated: "The commune has issued a tourism development resolution for the 2025–2030 period, aiming to turn Thanh Thuy into a key regional tourism hub. We focus on efficiently exploiting hot mineral sources while diversifying into eco-tourism, cultural experiences, and culinary tourism. Alongside this, we are promoting digital transformation to improve management and marketing."
Statistics reflect this upward trend. In 2025, the locality welcomed approximately 900,000 visitors, generating 670 billion VND in revenue. Beyond financial gains, tourism has created numerous jobs and livelihood transitions for local residents.

However, rapid growth brings challenges. Urban planning, service quality control, and environmental protection are crucial factors. According to Vice Chairman Nguyen Dang Khoa, Thanh Thuy will continue to attract reputable major enterprises to invest in high-end resorts while finalizing the documentation to recognize sites like Dao Ngoc Xanh and Lynn Times Thanh Thuy as provincial-level tourist areas.
From a peaceful countryside, Thanh Thuy is step-by-step transforming into a leading wellness and resort destination in the region. The convergence of unique natural resources, strong investment flows, and a clear development vision is opening up a highly promising future.
