Celebrating the 60th anniversary of Uncle Ho's visit to the Dao Xa Commune
On January 18, 2024 (December 8, the year of the Cat, according to the lunar calendar), at Uncle Ho's Memorial Area - Bach Thach tree hill, Dao Xa commune, Thanh Thuy People's Council solemnly organized a ceremony to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Uncle Ho's visit to Thang Loi cooperative, Vinh Quang commune (currently known as Dao Xa commune).
60 years ago, on January 26, 1964, the Party Committee and people of Vinh Quang commune, Thanh Thuy district - a typical tree-planting unit of the North, which were awarded the Third-Class Labor Medal by the Government, were honored to welcome Uncle Ho to visit.
Taking into account the teachings of President Ho Chi Minh, over the past 60 years, the Party Committee and people of Vinh Quang commune (currently known as Dao Xa commune) in particular and Thanh Thuy district, in general, have always well implemented “Lunar New Year (known as Tet) tree planting for the Southern region“movement,”Tet tree planting for following Uncle Ho’s words“and now” Tet tree planting for eternal gratitude to Uncle Ho".
Speaking at the celebration, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Ho Dai Dung affirmed that in order to effectively carry out his sacred wishes for the country, officials, party members, and people of the province continue to promote his cultural and revolutionary traditions; promote emulation movements; maximize resources for the comprehensive development of industry, agriculture, and services; light up the will, aspirations, and humanity of the people of the Fatherland.
Immediately following the event, delegates planted souvenir trees at the Uncle Ho Memorial Area in Dao Xa Commune, Thanh Thuy District.
