Speaking at the conference, Chairman Tran Duy Dong emphasized that the “Thailand Connect in Phu Tho 2026” Program reflects the province’s strong determination to effectively implement the Party’s policies and resolutions on foreign affairs and international integration. It also serves as vivid evidence of the important role of local diplomacy in implementing the Action Program for the Viet Nam–Thailand Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for the 2026–2031 period.
He affirmed that Phu Tho Province is entering a new stage of development, aiming to become one of the growth poles of the Capital Region and a center for industrial, commercial and logistics development by 2030. By 2045, the province aspires to become a centrally governed city with modern infrastructure, a prosperous society and a high quality of life for its people.

The thematic discussion session: “Thailand–Viet Nam Connectivity: Smart Cities – A Driver for Economic Growth and Sustainable Development.”
To achieve these goals, the province is focusing on three strategic breakthroughs: improving institutions and policies while renewing the growth model based on science and technology, innovation and digital transformation; developing a synchronized infrastructure system in accordance with the Provincial Master Plan for 2021–2030 with a vision toward 2050; and developing a highly skilled workforce to serve priority investment sectors such as electric vehicle manufacturing, electronics, semiconductors, supporting industries and high-tech agriculture.
The implementation of the Doan Hung Industrial Park project clearly demonstrates the effectiveness of the province’s investment attraction and infrastructure development efforts, while also highlighting Phu Tho’s attractiveness and credibility in attracting high-quality foreign direct investment, particularly in industrial infrastructure development.

Overview of the “Thailand Connect in Phu Tho 2026” Program.
Through the program, Phu Tho Province continues to promote the image of the Ancestral Land rich in historical and cultural traditions; introduce its potential, advantages and business investment environment to international partners; expand friendly cooperation; strengthen people-to-people exchanges; and attract resources to support local socio-economic development.
The event also contributes to deepening the friendship and increasingly comprehensive cooperation between Viet Nam and Thailand in a new era of development.
