On the morning of April 6 (March 9, 2025), at the Festival Center yard—Hung King Temple Historical Site, the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism held the closing ceremony of the Mass Art and the Phu Tho Folk Song Festival, celebrating the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day and the Cultural-Tourism Week of the Ancestral Land in the Year of At Ty 2025.

This year’s Mass Art and Phu Tho Folk Song Festival, held in honor of the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day and the Cultural-Tourism Week of the Ancestral Land, saw the participation of 13 Mass Art troupes from 13 districts, cities, and towns in the province, with over 500 non-professional actors and musicians. The festival featured nearly 70 unique performances, showcasing diverse and engaging genres that praised the tradition of building and defending the country, honored the glorious Party, revered Uncle Ho, and celebrated the homeland of Phu Tho.

The festival was a tremendous success, creating a vibrant and joyful atmosphere throughout the event, leaving a lasting impression on people from across the country, as well as both domestic and international tourists. According to the Organizing Committee’s assessment, the troupes’ performances were elaborately staged and professionally executed, blending modern performances with traditional folk songs from Xoan, Gheo Phu Tho, and ethnic minorities such as the Dao and Muong, creating a brilliant visual display.
At the end of the festival, the organizing committee awarded 13 collective prizes, including 7 A prizes and 6 B prizes, along with 47 performance awards. Among these, 20 performances received A prizes, and 27 performances won B prizes.

The Phu Tho Mass Art and Folk Song Festival, held in honor of the Hung Kings“Commemoration and the Cultural-Tourism Week of the Ancestral Land in the Year of At Ty 2025, is a meaningful cultural activity that educates the tradition of patriotism, encourages the moral lesson of “When drinking water, remember its source,” and promotes and honors the cultural values of the Hung Kings” era. It also highlights Xoan singing, Gheo singing, folk songs, folk dances, and unique folk performances from the Ancestral Land and other regions of the country. Additionally, it serves as an opportunity for actors and artists from various troupes to meet, exchange, share experiences, and discover new ideas in cultural and artistic activities, thereby enhancing and developing the cultural and artistic movement in the locality.
