This year’s Hung Kings' Commemoration Day and the Cultural-Tourism Week of the Ancestral Land feature festival activities organized alongside cultural, sports, and tourism events, forming a series of 22 unique activities that reflect the cultural identity of the origin. The space for these activities stretches from the Hung King Temple Historical Site to Viet Tri City, with numerous programs performed by professional actors as well as amateur clubs, groups, and folk culture clubs from both inside and outside the province, creating a colorful cultural “party” for visitors returning to the Ancestral Land.
The art exchange program includes the participation of many youth dance groups.
The opening of the cultural activities is marked by the art program Opening the Cultural-Tourism Week of the Ancestral Land 2025, themed "Echoes of the Origin." The program features over 300 artists, singers, and actors from dance troupes and art groups in Phu Tho province, the Vietnam Puppetry Theater, Hung Vuong University, Binh Dinh Martial Arts Club, and Small Star Club. Singers Ha Myo, Luong Huy, Moc An, and the M&M Music Group also participate. The performances on the opening night are deeply infused with national culture, honoring the origins and homeland of the Ancestral Land.
With elaborately staged performances imbued with the cultural identity of the Ancestral Land, the program helps promote and celebrate the cultural values of the Hung King era, the representative intangible cultural heritages of humanity, and the development of tourism. This is also an opportunity to introduce the cultural heritage, natural landscapes, and people of the homeland of the Hung Kings.
At the Hung King Temple Historical Site, entering the space of the Cultural Camp, visitors are immersed in the sounds of gongs, bamboo poles, and the singing of “non-professional actors” at the cultural camps. Each performance reflects a traditional cultural feature of the Muong, Dao, and Mong ethnic groups—all performed by local clubs and non-professional art troupes, adding color to this year’s Hung Kings' Commemoration and the Cultural-Tourism Week of the Ancestral Land.

Visitors to the Cultural Camp will experience the vibrant cultural space of various performances imbued with national identity, not only from Phu Tho province but also from many other provinces and cities across the country. In addition to the cultural performances at the cultural camps, the organizing committee has set up a stage for cultural exchange, featuring art clubs performing folk songs and some intangible cultural heritage forms recognized by UNESCO, such as Xoan singing, Chau Van singing, Then singing, Quan Ho singing, Trong Quan singing, and Cheo singing.
Along with the cultural and artistic activities held at the Hung King Temple Historical Relic Site, every night at the Van Lang Park stage in Viet Tri City, the Viet Tri Live Music program takes place, featuring exchange programs between dance groups and mass art performances that have also attracted large audiences. In addition to traditional music “parties,” Viet Tri Live Music offers a youthful and modern music space. The songs and melodies express love, stories about the beloved city, the legendary Lo River, the vibrant festival seasons, and the warm hospitality of the people of Viet Tri. The music nights evoke a range of wonderful emotions in the audience, from pride and nostalgia to excitement and joy. Each song is a piece of the puzzle that creates a beautiful picture of the festival city—the origin of the Vietnamese people.
