Festival re-enacts Hung Kings’ teachings on rice cultivation
Festival re-enacts Hung Kings’ teachings on rice cultivation was held on February 24 (lunar January 15), at Tich Dien shrine in Minh Nong ward, Viet Tri city. This is the sole traditional event that re-enacts the origin of wet rice cultivation in Vietnam during the Hung King era.
The event has two parts: The rituals are carried out gravely then competition activities for teams and folk games, with a significant turnout of residents and visitors from all over.

The festival is distinctive and represents the origin of Vietnamese wet rice cultivation during the Hung King era; it is a cultural heritage that the province values and preserves; it serves as a focal point for festival activities, building Viet Tri into a city of festival celebrating Vietnamese nation’s origin.
