Groundbreaking Ceremony for Phuc Yen Industrial Park Infrastructure Development and Operation Project

On the morning of April 9, a joint venture between Vinh Phuc International Service and Industrial Zone JSC (VISIZ) and SHINEC JSC held the groundbreaking ceremony for the Phuc Yen Industrial Park (IP) Infrastructure Development and Operation Project.

The ceremony was attended by Mr. Tran Duy Dong — Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; Mr. Bui Huy Vinh — Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Vu Viet Van — Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; along with leaders of various departments, sectors, and local authorities.

The Phuc Yen IP project holds strategic significance within the province’s industrial development master plan. Located in Phuc Yen Ward, the project spans approximately 111.3 hectares with a total investment of nearly 2,000 billion VND.

Strategically located, Phuc Yen IP offers seamless connectivity to key traffic arteries and economic corridors such as Hanoi - Lao Cai and Hanoi - Hai Phong - Quang Ninh. Its proximity to inland ports, airports, and the capital region’s transport network provides a competitive edge in attracting investment and fostering production. The project is oriented toward clean and high-tech industries, developed under a modern, eco-friendly, and sustainable industrial park model.

The technical infrastructure will be developed synchronously, featuring spacious internal roads, a high-capacity power supply, modern water systems, and a centralized wastewater treatment plant meeting environmental standards. According to the plan, during Phase 1 (Q1/2024 – Q1/2026), the investor joint venture will focus on finalizing legal procedures, completing site clearance, and commencing construction. In Phase 2 (Q2/2026 – Q1/2027), the project will move into full-scale technical infrastructure development to ensure synchronization, making the site ready to welcome secondary investors.

Upon completion, Phuc Yen IP is expected to attract significant capital, create jobs for tens of thousands of workers, and contribute substantially to the local budget.

In his keynote address, Chairman Tran Duy Dong emphasized that this event marks the province’s determination to pursue sustainable industrial growth and attract high-quality investment flows. On behalf of the provincial leadership, he expressed gratitude to ministries, investors, partners, and the local people. He reaffirmed that the province would continue to improve “outside-the-fence” infrastructure, promote high-tech recruitment, and ensure industrial operations align with environmental protection and renewable energy goals.

To ensure the project’s success, the Chairman urged investors and contractors to concentrate resources on maintaining the schedule, quality, and labor safety. He also requested relevant departments and local authorities to coordinate closely to resolve any obstacles promptly, creating the best possible conditions for the enterprise.
