Inauguration Ceremony of the Phu Tho Provincial House of Culture and Arts

On August 19, at Hung Vuong Square, Phu Tho Province solemnly held the inauguration ceremony of the Provincial House of Culture and Arts – a key landmark project and a new symbol of the people of the Land of the Hung Kings.

Attending the ceremony were comrades: Bui Minh Chau, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Bui Van Quang, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council; and members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee.

Delegates cut the ribbon at the inauguration of the Phu Tho Provincial House of Culture and Arts.

The Provincial House of Culture and Arts is a major project in the field of culture and arts of Phu Tho Province. Construction began in April 2022, with the Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism as the project investor.

After more than three years of active construction, the project has been completed and officially put into operation on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam (September 2, 1945 – September 2, 2025).

The project has a total adjusted investment of nearly VND 426 billion. It is built on a land area of nearly 18,000 m2, with a construction footprint (including the outdoor stage) of about 5,000 m2. The building consists of three above-ground floors, one basement, and one roof level, with a total height of nearly 35 meters and a seating capacity of about 1,000.

The design follows a modern neoclassical architectural style, harmoniously combining contemporary architecture with traditional cultural elements characteristic of the ancestral land of the Hung Kings. The façade is adorned with decorative motifs and patterns inspired by the culture of the Hung Kings era, creating a unique artistic highlight. The interior is equipped with modern, synchronized facilities to serve performances and large-scale events.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Huy Ngoc emphasized: The Provincial House of Culture and Arts was built to form a modern, large-scale cultural hub that meets the growing cultural and artistic needs of the people.

The project not only establishes a modern architectural landmark harmoniously integrated with the historic Hung Vuong Square but also provides a cultural space worthy of the expectations of generations of officials and residents of the province.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee also stressed that the House of Culture and Arts has been selected as the venue for the 1st Congress of the Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee, term 2025–2030.
