On the morning of October 22, the Agriculture and Environment Magazine (under the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment) coordinated with Toyota Motor Vietnam, the People’s Committee of Phuc Yen ward, Phu Tho province to organize the launching ceremony of the “For a Green Vietnam” Program 2025.
Attending the event were Mr. Phung Duc Tien – Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment, Mr. Dinh Cong Su – Vice Chairman of the Phu Tho Provincial People’s Committee, Mr. Dao Xuan Hung – Editor-in-Chief of the Agriculture and Environment Magazine, representatives of Toyota Motor Vietnam, leaders of Phuc Yen and Xuan Hoa wards.

Under the slogan “Plant one more tree – take one more action to protect the environment,” Deputy Minister Phung Duc Tien called on authorities at all levels, sectors, and the public to actively plant, care for, and protect trees, viewing this as an integral part of a green, healthy, and responsible lifestyle for future generations.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Phu Tho Provincial People’s Committee Dinh Cong Su highly appreciated the significance of the “For a Green Viet Nam” Program. He emphasized that the program reflects society’s collective determination to realize national commitments on sustainable development, emission reduction, nature conservation, and climate change adaptation.
To ensure that the “For a Green Viet Nam” Program 2025 is truly far-reaching and effective, Vice Chairman Dinh Cong Su proposed that all levels of administration, sectors, and localities consider it a regular political task, integrated with socio-economic development goals, urban planning, and the enhanced new rural development program. He urged agencies, organizations, schools, and enterprises to actively participate in tree-planting movements and link environmental protection with the creation of healthy, sustainable working, learning, and living environments.
A representative of Toyota Motor Viet Nam shared that after nearly 30 years of operation in Viet Nam, Toyota has always regarded sustainable development and social responsibility as the foundation of its business strategy. The company is committed to accompanying the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment in efforts to reduce emissions, protect the natural environment, and build a greener, more beautiful Viet Nam.

At the event, the Agriculture and Environment Magazine and Toyota Motor Vietnam signed a cooperation agreement within the framework of the “Toyota – Green Journey in Viet Nam” Program for the 2025–2028 period.
Immediately following the ceremony, Toyota Motor Viet Nam donated and planted 450 black star trees (Hopea odorata) and Pterocarpus macrocarpus (Burmese rosewood) in Phuc Yen and Xuan Hoa wards.
The “For a Green Viet Nam” Program 2025 contributes to improving landscapes, mitigating natural disasters, responding to climate change, spreading the spirit of environmental protection, and encouraging a sustainable lifestyle.
