On the afternoon of February 9, the Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee organized a formal gathering for current and former leaders of the Party and State, leaders of central and local agencies, and high-ranking generals of the armed forces who are natives of Phu Tho, on the occasion of the 2026 Lunar New Year (Year of the Horse).

Distinguished Guests The event was attended by Mr. Tran Duc Thang, Member of the Politburo and Minister of Agriculture and Environment; Mr. Ngo Van Du, former Member of the Politburo and former Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission; and Mr. Nguyen Van Binh, former Member of the Politburo and former Head of the Central Economic Commission. The gathering also welcomed numerous former Party and State leaders and armed forces generals hailing from the "Ancestral Land."
Representing Phu Tho province were Mr. Pham Dai Duong, Member of the Central Committee of the Party and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Tran Duy Dong, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; and other key provincial officials.

Outstanding Socio-Economic Achievements In his address, Secretary Pham Dai Duong expressed profound gratitude for the contributions and wisdom shared by generations of leaders and generals. Providing an update on the province’s progress, he noted that despite global challenges, Phu Tho achieved an impressive economic growth rate of 10.52% in 2025, ranking 4th nationwide. The average income per capita reached 111.4 million VND, while national defense and social welfare remained firmly secured.
A Vision for Sustainable Growth During the meeting, the delegates expressed their pride in the province’s positive transformations. Mr. Tran Viet Khoa, Director of the National Defense Academy, and other delegates offered strategic advice for Phu Tho’s development in 2026 and beyond. They shared high expectations that the province would become one of the country’s primary growth poles.

Accepting these contributions with high regard, Secretary Pham Dai Duong reaffirmed Phu Tho’s commitment to "unity, innovation, and discipline." He emphasized the province’s focus on digital transformation and economic development while preserving and promoting its rich cultural identity.
Honoring New Appointments On this occasion, the leaders of Phu Tho province presented flowers to congratulate comrades who were recently elected as members of the Politburo and the Party Central Committee. As a gesture of solidarity, the visiting delegation presented a statue of President Ho Chi Minh to the provincial government.
