On the afternoon of October 17, the Standing Committee of the Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee held a meeting with female leaders on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women’s Union (October 20, 1930 – October 20, 2025) and the Vietnamese Women’s Day (October 20).

In recent years, Phu Tho Province has paid close attention to building a contingent of female leaders who possess sufficient professional qualifications, expertise, leadership capacity to meet the requirements of industrialization and modernization.
At the provincial level, 17 out of 97 female officials (17.5%) participate in the Provincial Party Executive Committee, and 4 out of 27 (14.8%) are members of the Provincial Standing Committee.
At the commune and ward levels, 968 out of 3,868 female officials (25%) are members of the local Party Executive Committees, and 13 out of 148 (8.78%) hold the position of Secretary of Commune or Ward Party Committees.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Truong Quoc Huy – Secretary of the Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee congratulated and highly appreciated the significant contributions of female leaders in promoting the traditions, courage, intelligence, and creativity of Vietnamese women.
Affirming the important role of women in the province’s development, Secretary Truong Quoc Huy expressed his hope that the contingent of female leaders will continue to uphold the fine traditions of Vietnamese women in general and Phu Tho women in particular; strengthen solidarity and unity; stay closely aligned with the province’s political tasks as well as those of their respective agencies and units, and constantly strive to improve their qualifications to meet new requirements.
He emphasized that female officials should always set an example in their workplaces and actively participate in patriotic emulation movements.
Secretary Truong Quoc Huy affirmed that the province will continue to create favorable conditions for female officials to dedicate their talents and abilities, and affirm their role and position in their families and society.
